     Historically, April in Truro is 8 degrees warmer than March, with only a couple of days reaching below freezing. Similar rainfall but rarely snows. Historic average highs of 52°F and lows of 37°F.     

     Days will become 88 minutes longer!

     Below are some of the activities and events happening about town this month.

Pre-Town Meeting & Candidates Night - April 13
The Truro Pre-Town Meeting & Candidates Night will be held Friday, April 13th at 5:30 pm at the Truro Community Center, 7 Standish Way, next to the Truro Public Library.     
Annual Town Meeting - April 24
The Truro Annual Town Meeting will be held Tuesday, April 24th at 7:00 pm at the Truro Community Center, 7 Standish Way, next to the Truro Public Library.    "Annual Town Meeting is the single most important event in the civic life of our community." -- Curtis Hartman, Board of Selectmen Chair   View the Warrant for the meeting  here.
Green Communities - Energy Reduction

Truro Educational & Enrichment Alliance
The TEEA provides enrichment programs to the students of Truro Central School.  More...  
     This year is the first annual golf tournament and dinner: "Tee Off for TCS", to be held Sunday, May 20th, with a 10am shotgun start.  Please read about the event, and register by the April 20th deadline.
     The TEEA also welcomes all ages to participate in the First Annual Pamet Puma 5k and Fitness Challenge on Saturday, June 2, 2012. Join us for a 5k run/walk and enjoy a scenic workout through Truro and support the children of Truro Central School.  Register here.

Highland Lighthouse Annual Road Race          
The 8th Annual Ocean to the Bay 5 mi. run/walk will take place on Saturday May 26th at 9:00 AM. Online registration
The lighthouse opens for the season on May 19th.

Rental Registration
On March 13, the Board of Selectmen approved a $150 rental registration fee if you are renting your house, or any portion thereof.  Read the Letter from Licensing Agent explaining the new Bylaw, and go to the Licensing Agent page on the town web site for more details.
Rabies Vaccination Clinics
One-year rabies vaccinations are only $10. We have clinics across the entire Cape, from Sandwich to Provincetown.
