ThisMonthThis month in Truro ...

     December in Truro ... will we finally see cold weather? ... average highs of 41 and lows of 28 (historically anyway.) Days will get another 40 minutes shorter, and rainfall averages 4 inches. Plus we usually average 6 inches of snow and two-thirds of the days with below-freezing temperatures.

Council on Aging

CAROLING WITH TRURO CENTRAL SCHOOL
We will be gathering at the COA to sing along with the children of the Truro Central School on Thursday, Dec. 15th at 1 P.M. There will be light refreshments and merriment to get us all in the Holiday spirit. Please come and enjoy!

The Truro Public Library sponsors a wide variety of interesting events and presentations each month.  More...

Flying Santa comes to Highland Light
The Flying Santa will be arriving at the Highland Light on Saturday, Dec. 10th at 10:00 AM. This event is for Truro Elementary School children and is made possible by a grant from Truro Treasures. The lighthouse is currently closed for the season, but tours are available by appointment. Call 508.487.1121 or email [email protected].

Truro Treasures Grants      
The last Truro Treasures weekend raised over $23,000 dollars. Thanks to all the volunteers, businesses and donors who supported our weekend. Fourteen non-profit organizations applied for grants, and we awarded to the following: Highland Affordable, Truro Concert Committee, Truro Council On Aging, TEEA, CASAS, Friends of the Council On Aging, CPC-Truro Pre-school Program, Cape Cod Hospital Auxiliary-Orleans Branch, Dexter Keezer, "Open Strings" Truro Central School, Mass Appeal, Highland Museum&Lighthouse (Flying Santa), Chamber of Commerce (building improvements,) and Truro Historical Society, Inc.
