     June in Truro brings average temperatures up another 10 degrees above May's. Days will get on average 40 minutes longer, with average highs of 72 and lows of 56 -- and the bay water will start to warm.  June usually has 25% less rain than May too!   

     It's hard to believe that in three weeks we'll have the longest day of the year.

Truro Police - Chief Lundborn's Swearing In
Acting Chief John Lundborn will be sworn in as Truro's new Police Chief on Friday, June 3, at 10 a.m. at the Truro Community Center. The ceremony marks the culmination of a search that began last November -- and a turning point for the town's Police Department, according to Selectman Chair Curtis Hartman.   More...

Pamet Harbor
There is a new green flashing light on the north breakwater.  The entrance buoys are a green buoy and a red buoy with a flashing red light new this year.  The tidal mooring field is ready to be used.  
Truro Beach Stickers
The beach office opens this year on Saturday, June 11th. Open 7 days a week from 8am to 4pm for beach stickers, and open 4pm to 6pm for fire permits.

Truro Beach Cleanup - Volunteers Needed!
June 4th, 9am at Corn Hill Beach Parking Lot.
Join fellow Truroites for the Annual Beach Clean-up.  Beaches from the Wellfleet line to the Provincetown line will be cleaned of debris.  
   Free cookout at Corn Hill Beach parking lot will follow the clean-up.  Hamburgers, hot dogs, sodas, chips and Meg Royka's famous brownies.
Collection bags provided. Bring work gloves. 
Rain date June 5th. 
Household Hazardous Products Collections
First collection is June 4th at the Wellfleet Transfer Station, 370 Coles Neck Road from 9 am - noon.
Future collections are August 6th in Truro and October 1st in Provincetown..
