Design and Design Services
Design Service, Interior Designers, and Showrooms from TRV
We asked our designers: How would you define your personal style? We loved what Laura Michaelides of Foursquare Design Studio submitted as her answer.

I lean towards a pared-down look that honors the past but incorporates the modern. Whenever possible, I love working with older buildings. Whether it's a 19th century Queen Anne, an early 20th century bungalow or a 50's modern ranch, I love to restore original features that make the house special and give a sense of time. I then work to contrast that architectural envelope with elements from different eras and places by layering in new materials, modern art or furniture. I think it's the crosscurrent of those different elements that make a space exciting. |

Beverly Vosko Interiors How would you describe your personal style?
My personal style is mixing fabulous antiques and accessories which mean something special to me, with contemporary furniture - to personalize my rooms. However, I don't believe a good Interior Designer should reflect his or her own personal style in his or her design work. I believe that I should reflect each of my client's individual personal styles in their homes, and make my clients dreams come true - whatever style they love. And I also try to make sure that their homes are comfortable, inviting and place that THEY love to be in. |

"When The Skirted Roundtable interviewed Kathryn Ireland, she had just sold her Ojai House. Kathryn was still sad over having to sell the house - you could hear the regret in her voice. She truly regretted it. But, she was excited to sell it to Reese Witherspoon who fell madly in love with the ranch." READ MORE |

Gallery Auctions, Inc.
For some, antiques fill a room. For others, antiques fill a life. Vikki Vines is one of the latter. Vikki is the top female auctioneer in Texas and arguably one of the top in the nation. Vikki started Gallery Auctions over twenty-five years ago and has created a worldwide buying trip under one roof.
A trip to Gallery Auctions holds the same excitement and passion that Vikki feels for the industry. Over her 25 years as an auctioneer, Vikki has traveled to England, Belgium, Argentina, Spain and France, not to mention the hidden antique alleys of the United States. Whether at a fair in a foreign country or a yard sale on the way to work, Vikki knows a find when she sees one.
Not only does Vikki know quality, she doesn't do anything that's not big. Ten years ago Vikki had the current location built and quickly filled the 27,000 square foot, three acre property to capacity with her treasures. Just recently Vikki sold the previous building and has moved Gallery Auctions just a few minutes east of the previous location. Moving between ten and fifteen 45 foot containers along with estates and consignments through Gallery Auctions monthly, Vikki has created the Southwest's largest trade source. |

Weidner + Hasou

Weidner+Hasou Design is the partnership of Genna Weidner and Deborah Hasou. When they began collaborating on home renovation projects five years ago, they felt the combination of their individual skills could result in unique designs appreciated by today's homeowners. Now they bring the culmination of their styles to their new retail shop as well. Upon entering their shop and design studio you feel a sense of being able to "stop and breathe". You can take time to relax and browse in the intimate boutique setting. You will find an array of styles from clean-line modern to antiques with a European flair at an attractive range of price points. Gift items, home accessories, artwork and furniture pieces abound and, with their market finds from New York, Atlanta, Texas and Europe, you will find new and exciting inventory that changes often. The driving concept of the firm is to create timeless, classic, comfortable interiors and exterior architectural designs that reflect the vision and needs of their clients. They specialize in interior design and residential building design for home renovations or new construction. They don't put a label on their style; they enjoy contemporary, traditional, casual or sophisticated design. Their ideas come from listening to their clients' desires and needs. That is when the creativity and collaboration begins. |
