Antique Shopping in Round Top

Twice a year is "Antique Week" in the Round Top, TX area. For miles and miles surrounding the town of Round Top, there are antique shows with literally thousands of dealers.  Click here for a good link to read about all of the shows and see the schedules.

This is the final weekend of the shows, so dust off your boots and head up there and enjoy this gorgeous weekend!

General Tips on comparing quotes;

Scope of work: ensure plenty of details are in the scope of work such as materials used, measurements, and steps of the construction process.  Vagueness or lack of details in a scope of work will not allow a client to properly compare quotes. Lack of details will also lead to surprises, additional costs, and leave the owner without information to understand the process and costs.

Materials: Ensure material details are provided to be able compare products as all products and materials are not of the same quality.  Materials can range from windows, fixtures, lighting, paints, insulation, sheet rock, pipe, tile, stone, and nails/screws all being used during your home construction project.

Measurements:  Ensure measurements are provided so you can compare work and materials provided.

Warranties and Guaranties:  Make sure work and material warranties and guaranties are easily presented.
Time: Make sure a schedule or time frame is presented with your proposal. As this can have a dramatic impact on your schedule, home, and life.

Remember a contractor will be in your home and must show the utmost respect for your family, property, and time.
