OmniGo Yucaipa Route Adjustments   308-309

Starting Monday February 14, OmniGo routes 308 & 309 in Yucaipa will see minor modification between Wildwood Canyon and Avenue H.
On Route 308, from Bryant Street, the route will turn left onto Avenue H and then right onto California Street where it will resume regular routing. One bus stop at the northeast corner of Wildwood Canyon and California will be moved from Wildwood Canyon to California Street.
Route 309 will continue south passed Wildwood Canyon on California Street making a left onto Avenue H and then a right onto Bryant Street. No stops will be impacted on Route 309.
This new route configuration will improve travel speeds while adding an additional pair of bus stops at Avenue H and California St.

Going Green at Omnitrans earth

Omnitrans has been awarded the 2010 Environmental Award from the San Bernardino Area Chamber of Commerce. The annual award goes to a business making a "substantial and meaningful contribution to the environment."
Some of the projects Omnitrans was recognized for in 2010 include the installation of smart sprinkler controllers that automatically turn off the sprinkler timers when it rains, saving water, a precious natural resource. Omnitrans also replaced over 4,085 florescent 32 watt bulbs, with 25 watt bulbs, saving nearly 200,000 kilowatt hours of electricity per year. Additionally, in the first half of 2010, Omni recycled 6,250 gallons of oil, 74,100 lbs of metal, enough paper to save 296 trees, along with recycling bottles and cans, batteries, oil filters, printer cartridges, electronics and many other items.
These are just a few of the internal ways that Omnitrans continues to reach to be an eco-friendly community neighbor throughout the San Bernardino Valley.

Transit Tip - Using the Bike Rack  Alex and the bike rack

Bikes may be loaded and unloaded only at designated stops. The bike rack holds two bikes. If the rack is full, wait for the next bus. Bicycles are not allowed inside the bus. The tire size of your bicycle must be at least 20" in diameter. This excludes most children's bicycles. Children under the age of 14 may use racks only if accompanied by a bus-riding adult (age 18 and over). Motorized bikes are not allowed in the Omnitrans bike racks. Bikes with child seats, large carriers or other attachments are not allowed if they are considered hazardous or impair visibility. For more tips, visit our website and our video page.
