Join The Early Childhood Community! This is a place where child
care professionals, parents, advocates, technical assistance providers and policy makers can connect to improve early childhood experiences!
The Early Childhood Community provides a safe place for teachers and providers to connect and support each other and to gain access to resources and professional development opportunities.
Once we have enough members and there is enough interest, we will have the ability to add a Spanish (and any other language) component to the community.
The Community also offers a directory where providers can list their programs and parents can search for providers in their neighborhood. Feel free to also list any professional services that you can offer to the community! The Directory can be found under the" Listings Tab".
Have toys, books, clothing (children's or adults'), day care equipment or other items that you don't need anymore? Or, maybe you're looking for some of these items? Under the "NoCash Tab", you can list items to give away or swap, or that you might be looking for. You can search through all the ads, or limit your search to just this network. Once you join, be sure to check this out because, to start things off, I have listed some board books, and will be adding a few other new children's books to give away!
Funding and resources are in danger. The Early Childhood Community provides an interactive platform for advocacy and influencing public policy. I encourage you all to speak up, get involved, and be active.
Because this community is integrated with Facebook, you can easily and quickly share content with your Facebook friends right from The Early Childhood Community.
With Twitter integration, you can also easily and quickly share content or send status updates to Twitter without leaving the Early Childhood Community.
I encourage you to share events, trainings and celebrations by adding them to the events page. Support your peers and get the support you need; Share your thoughts and ideas, news, pictures and videos; Invite your peers and colleagues; Connect with friends and make new ones....
Welcome!
Natalie
