SECONDARY PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES:

ALL 7th -11th grade students and/or parents will be able to pick up report cards and visit with middle and high school teachers from 4- 7 p.m. in M4 (cafeteria) on Wednesday, April 4, 2012. This will be the time for parents to get questions answered regarding grades and report cards. Parents will be notified of scheduled conferences.

 

ELEMENTARY PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES:

All K-6th grade conferences will be held in their rooms.

1st - 6th grade will have optional drop in conferences from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 4, 2012. Individual conferences have been scheduled by the teacher for April 5, 2012. Any parent may request a conference time on Thursday by emailing their child's classroom teacher. Please watch for additional information from your child's teacher via a newsletter or blog at visioncharter.net.  

 

 

 

 

 

 

SCHEDULES FOR NEXT YEAR:

Future 6th - 12th grade students brought home packets for registering for next year. The packet required a parent signature and needed to be returned by Wednesday, April 4th to receive preference for classes next year. In the event that your child has misplaced their packet, please contact the office and we will get your student another copy. If you need it e-mailed to you, please feel free to request the packet by e-mail to

JOOI CLUB YARD SALE:
Do you have unwanted items laying around your house? The VCS high school JOOI club is asking for donations of yard sale items. TheJOOIclub is a club focusing on community outreach. Funds from the yard sale will be used to continue these projects. Donations of smaller items will be accepted Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 3:30-4:30 starting April 2nd. Larger items will be accepted Friday, April 13th, from 3:30-4:30 or by contacting Mrs. Lair at 
erinlair@visioncsd.org or 455-9220. Donations are tax deductible and receipts are available upon request.  

 

  

 

Make A Difference Walk: 

 

Thank you to the Middleton Optimist for donating $300 to the Make A Difference Walk to benefit the fight against cancer. If you would like to donate money to any of these families, please send a check in by April 3rd. All pledges for the Make A Difference Walk need to be submitted by April 3rd. Please make checks payable to Vision Charter School and list Make A Difference in the memo line.  

 

  • Jeanie Allen-
    • On January 31, 2012, Middleton, ID Firefighter/EMT Jeanie (Chaplin) Allen was diagnosed with an extremely rare and not well-understood form of cancer. Known as Clear Cell Sarcoma. Jeanie is a fit, healthy mother of two children Skye, 13, and Jesse, 11, and wife of Robert Allen. Jeanie's doctors say her cancer is at Stage 4, and that chemotherapy has a slim chance of affecting a positive outcome. Being who she is, Jeanie isn't about to roll over and let this terrible disease take her. She's going to fight it. She's going to do whatever she can to defeat her enemy and live her life to its fullest. You can visit her blog at

  • John Wade-   In January, 2012, John Wade was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma cancer. He has one daughter, Nina, 17, and one son, Clay, 21. He started his chemo-radiation treatment in February. "This whole thing has brought our whole family so much closer. My brother moved in with him. I'm always going to see him, and everyone is always calling him and checking on him." - Nina Wade

 

  • Shelly Batton is a  stay at home mother of 4.  She has been diagnosed with cancer twice and won the battle both times.  She has been in remission for some time.  Recently, she was diagnosed with lung cancer and has begun treatment once again.  She is a fighter and will continue battling this third time around.  She has an extremely strong will to live. Shelly Batton is the step mother of Danny VanMaanen.

 You may invite 1 high school guest that does not go to Vision Charter, but they need to fill out the form located in the office and purchase a ticket. Friend Applications are due to the office by 4 p.m. on April 4th.

 

 (HS students will sign themselves in and out of the dance. Once a student leaves Prom they will not be allowed to re-enter the facility.)
