MUSICAL THEATRE will perform "We the People" on Monday, November 14, 7:00 p.m. at the Nampa Civic Center.  We will be honoring those currently serving and who have served in our nation's military.  Please invite those you know to attend.  Individual tickets will be $4, and family tickets will be $10 per family.

eCIS
Vision Charter School students have an amazing opportunity for college and career planning! The students have access to an online resource called eCIS, a career and college information system. This website provides valuable information on colleges and careers based on student interest. Additionally, the school has purchased the testing aids that provide help and tutoring programs for the SATs. As this program is entirely online, we encourage students to access the portal from home with their parents by visiting
http://www.idahocis.org and logging on using the user name and password they set up in advisory. Students missing this information, or parents with additional questions about the program may contact Erin Lair at erinlair@visioncsd.org or 208-455-9220.

MANTA Program
Our own Nina Wade has been chosen as one of ten participants in the 2012 MANTA program. This Marine Science and Nautical Training Academy is a non-profit organization that offers unique marine science education programs to high school and college students. Students live aboard a large catamaran sailboat in the British Virgin Islands while being immersed in marine science and learning practical skills that are needed to be a marine biologist, including receiving their PADI scuba diving certification and learning the hands on nautical skills needed to become a capable crew member on a research vessel. In addition, Nina has the opportunity to receive college credit for her studies while on board the vessel. Only ten students were chosen nationally for this opportunity. Nina needs $3700 to participate in the program, $2000 to hold her spot.

JOOI Learn and Grow to Go
The Vision Charter High School JOOI club is enthusiastically pursuing a student meal program called Learn and Grow to Go. This program provides four meals to students in need over the two day weekends. Many students rely on the meals provided by the school and have very little to eat when they get home. The goal of the program is to provide nutritional food for these students to enjoy over the weekend. Additionally, the members of JOOi have expressed the desire to include a book or other item that may brighten the students' weekend. The food will come through frugal shopping done by the JOOI members as well as donations, both food and monetary. The PFA was generous in giving the first donation to allow the students to get started on this project.

Picture retake day is Wednesday, November 16th in the morning.

If you would like to have your child's picture retaken, please send the picture packet to school with them on that day.  Children who are having their pictures retaken may dress up on that day.  Modesty dress code standards need to be followed.  Jeans and casual attire may NOT be worn.  If your child is not having their pictures retaken, students should wear their school uniform as usual.
