PSAT - October 15, 2011

There are still 5 spots available! The cost is $14.00.  This test is open to 7th graders - 11th graders. The test will be offered on Saturday, October 15th, 2011. Please make checks payable to Vision Charter School and put PSAT in the memo line. Please secure your spot for this test by e-mailing Mrs. OldenKamp at wendyroldenkamp@msn.com. Students taking the test their Junior year may be eligible for the NMSQT scholarship!

   
 

PFA First Annual Family Movie Night

Join us at Vision Charter School for our first ever Family Movie Night!  We will be showing the movie Rio, rated G. The fun starts at 6:30 p.m. and the Movie will start at dusk!!!

                           

$10.00 Family or $2.00 individual admission.  Popcorn and soda included with admission price! In addition, hotdogs and cotton candy will each be sold for fifty cents.

 

Vision's very talented Guitar students will be showing off some of their talent before the movie starts(6:30)

 

Watch your favorite teacher get a pie in the face!! (7:30)

 

Student Goverment will be selling glow sticks!

 

We hope to see all of our Vision Families at this event. Let's make this another night that makes our school stand out!!!!!!!!!!!

 

***Don't forget to bring your lawn chairs and blankets.

 
 

October lunch orders due September 26, 2011

The website, orderlunches.com, is now ready for you to place your October lunches.   

All families, even those with free lunch status, must use orderlunches.com to order all hot lunches.  If you do not have access to the internet at home, you are more than welcome to come to the school and use a computer in the office to place your order. 

Deadline to order for October is Monday, September 26, 2011 at midnight.  NO LATE ORDERS ACCEPTED. 

 

If you are new to the orderlunches.com website, click on register, and enter the school password vcs177.  Then follow the instructions to complete your registration and then you can begin to order.

 

Your order is completed only when your receive a confirmation number.  A common error is thinking your order is complete, but items are still left in the "shopping cart" and you didn't finish checking out. 

 

Check or cash are accepted for payment.  If you are paying with cash, please type "cash" in the check number field when you are checking-out.  We can only accept exact cash amount.  Your order will not be considered placed until payment is received.  We do not accept any debit/credit cards.  

If your child is going to be tardy, you need to notify the office by 8:30am.  If we do not hear from you by that time, we will assume your child is absent and their lunch will be canceled.

 

If you are interested in completing a free/reduced lunch application for your student(s), please pick one up from the office right away.  It takes a minimum of 3 business days to approve them, so to be approved and be able to order for October, please get those turned in by next Tuesday, September 20th.

School fundraiser through Caldwell Fine Arts

To assist our school in funding important arts opportunities, Caldwell Fine Arts has introduced a no-stress fundraiser called the Family Music Night program.  For every $25 family discount ticket sold to select Caldwell Fine Arts events, our school earns a $5 credit towards bringing great programs like Jim Cogan, Boston Brass, or Tears of Joy Puppet Theater to our school, or bringing your students to programs in Jewett Auditorium like the Nutcracker, or Juan Siddi Flamenco Dance Theater.  No pre-sales, no money collection.  How easy is that?  See more details here.  Find out about the Family Music Night Fundraiser on September 29, 2011 here.
