Greetings!
Please disregard the last newsletter -- the date of the Uniform Exchange was incorrect. See below for the correct information:
You are invited to participate in a "Uniform Exchange" for Vision Charter School families at VCS on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m.
You may bring your childrens' outgrown uniform clothing to the VCS office from 8 a.m. - 3 p.m. on Thursday, July 26th. For each item donated you will receive one ticket. The ticket may be used to purchase a clothing item. Parents may also receive clothing items for a suggested minimum donation of $.50 per item. We are looking for 6-10 parents to work two hour shifts from 8 a.m.- 7 p.m. on July 26th. Each hour volunteered will equal three clothing tickets. We are looking for 6-10 middle or high school students who are interested in volunteering during the day. Secondary students may earn clothing tickets at three tickets per hour or earn a jeans day ticket for each two hour block volunteered. All parents interested in volunteering their time are encouraged to e-mail Mrs. OldenKamp at wendyroldenkamp@msn.com. Volunteers will be selected on a first come first serve basis. Thank you for your support of Vision Charter School and our families.
***Donated items which meet the uniform policy will receive a ticket voucher if they are in good condition and free of rips or stains. VCS can't guarantee that you will be able to find your child's sizes. Regretfully, all items donated will be considered a donation to the school and non refundable. No family will be turned away due to the inability to pay.

Online Lunch Orders:
VCS is exploring ways to offer more convenience to our families.
Please take a moment to answer one question to help us make a decision that is right for our families.
At issue is online ordering for lunches, class fees and yearbooks. This online interface would give families 24/7 access to order lunches with the ability to pay for multiple children in a single transaction, take care of your child's class fees and even order and pay for yearbooks. You'd be able to print menus populated with your child's orders, etc. You'd have the added convenience of paying with debit and/or credit cards. Unfortunately, there is a convenience fee, however, free and reduced lunches are not impacted. Help us determine how interested our families are in this option by clicking the link below and answering one question....

SCHOOL LUNCH PROGRAM: We are excited to offer, for the first time, a school lunch program beginning fall 2011/2012 school year! Over the summer we have added another portable and one side of it will be used for a lunch room. The food will be prepared off site by Oasis Food Service and they will bring the food to our school daily in warming containers and stay to serve it. Their food is filling, delicious, and offers a wide variety! A free and reduced application has been provided in both .doc and pdf formats for your convenience here. You may fill it out, save and then attach in an email the .doc version, or print, fill out and mail or hand deliver the pdf version. Please read the instructions on the front page for information about how to complete the application. Applications cannot be approved if required information is missing. We encourage all households to read the information carefully and to apply if you think you might qualify. It will help us get additional funding for the school, too! Please return this form by August 2, 2011 to get it approved before school starts. If completed forms are received after August 2, 2011, your child(ren) may not be able to participate in the program the first several days of school. Reduced lunch price $0.75 and full pay lunch price $2.75. If you have any questions, please call 455-9220 or email Sheree Knapp "In accordance with Federal Law and U.S. Department of Agriculture policy, this institution is prohibited from discriminating on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, or disability.
