We have a busy final week ahead!

Mrs. Ellis is looking for some willing volunteers to be at the Civic Center at 8:00a.m. on Wednesday 5/25/11 to help unload and set up for RAD. Interested parents can email Mrs. Ellis at debraellis@visioncsd.org or call the school, 455-9220.

DATES TO REMEMBER:

Tuesday, May 24, 2011 FIELD DAY! If you would be interested in volunteering please e-mail Mrs. Morretti at vpcedge@yahoo.com. Sixth grade students will be on the field from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m., K-3^rd from 12:30-1:30 p.m., and 4^th -5^th from 1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m. Students may want to bring a towel, change of clothes, sunscreen, and a water bottle.

Wednesday, May 25, 2011 K-6^th grade Awards Ceremony and RAD performance at Nampa Civic Center from 9- 11:00 a.m. The Elementary, Intermediate, and Secondary Dance Club will be performing first on the agenda! Students will load the buses at 8:25 a.m. to go to the Nampa Civic Center. Buses will leave the school at 8:35 a.m.

Wednesday, May 25, 2011 7^th -10^th grade Awards Ceremony and Talent Show from 12:45 p.m. - 2:45 p.m. on the basketball court.

Thursday, May 26, 2011 6^th-10^th grade Luau celebration from 8:15 a.m. - noon. Students will participate in fun activities, year book signing, volleyball, water balloon toss, dancing, use the water slide, and have a wonderful celebration! Pineapple Upside Down Cake, Soda, Smoothies, and Pizza will be for sale.

Thursday, May 26, 2011LAST DAY OF SCHOOL early release at 12:15 p.m.

(Pizza will be sold for $1)

Thursday, May 26, 2011 8^th Grade Graduation celebration with food, dancing, waterslide, and activities at the school from 7-9 p.m. for all current 8^th -10^th grade students. Current 8^th graders are invited to attend their first social as an official high school student! (Non VCS students are not allowed to attend.)

REPORT CARDS and ISAT SCORES:

Report Cards for 6^th -10^th grade students will be mailed to your home the week after school is out to give teachers time to grade finals. We will also be mailing 3^rd-10^th grade students ISAT scores this summer in June.

2011-2012 CALENDAR:

Please see the website at visioncharter.net, or click here for the 2011-2012 school calendar! The first day of school for 1^st-11^th grade students is Wednesday, August 17, 2011. Kindergarten students will start on Friday, August 19, 2011.

MEET THE TEACHER NIGHTS:

Secondary Meet the Teacher Night:

7^th - 11^th grade students are invited to MEET THE TEACHER NIGHT on Monday, August 15, 2011 from 5-7 p.m. at Vision Charter School. Students will find their homeroom and lockers, put away their supplies, and get an official copy of their schedule. This is a great time to reconnect with your friends!

Elementary Meet the Teacher Night:

Kindergarten - 6^th grade students are invited to MEET THE TEACHER NIGHT on Tuesday, August 16, 2011 from 5-7 p.m. at Vision Charter School. Students will go to their classrooms, find their desk, and put their supplies away. This is a great time to meet the teacher, see old friends, and meet new friends!

SCHOOL SUPPLY LISTS for 2011-2012:

We have made every effort to decrease the length and cost of the school supply list in every grade level. Please watch the website for these lists. We will make every effort to send these out prior to the end of this school year so that you can spread the costs over the summer and watch for sales!
