CHRISTMAS PROGRAM SCHEDULE:

 

 4:30 Set Up Begins at Sage Valley!

 

5:30-6:00 - Middle and High School Drama production of Charlie Brown Christmas 

ALL are invited and welcome to attend this fabulous event!


6:00 - ALL k-6th plus symphony and both guitar classes arrive and are directed to the set up locations


6:30-6:55 - beginning and advanced guitar class presentations, beginning band, orchestra, and symphony performances


6:55-7:05 - intermission Elementary Students report to line up spots


7:05-7:45pm - 4th grade Bell Choir and elementary performance of Jingle Bell JukeBox.

 

K-5 may wear fancy Christmas outfits but still must follow school dress code (no bare shoulders, etc). Girls' skirts must come mid-calf while seated for modesty.

Students in 7-10th instrumentals ensembles need to wear white tops and black slacks or skirts.

Please plan to stay and help us clear out the equipment. This would be such a tremendous gift! We must have our things torn down and out of Sage Valley by 8:30pm. Thank you for your support and assistance to put together this amazing evening! It is always one of the favorite events of the year.
Debate / Snow Team
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

DEBATE:
 
We are pleased to announce the formation of a Debate Club starting in February! Students in 7th-10th grade are invited to join the debate club. The team will meet on Tuesdays from 3:10-4:30 in February in March! Tournaments will be held in March. This team is free to all! Watch for more information to come. SNOW TEAM:

Attention all Skiers and Snowboarders!

Any student grades 6-10 interested in having a lot of fun at Bogus Basin this year should join the Snow Team.  It is for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities with competition in both racing and freeride rails and jumps. 

If your child is interested in joining the middle or high school ski team, please e-mail Mr. Banning at mattbanning@visioncsd.org. It is not too late! We would love to recruit more students to join the team.  Half price lift tickets for ski team members are only available for the Saturdays of the races if the child is signed up for the ski team by Friday, December 17, 2010.

The ski races start January 8th for six consecutive Saturdays with the Dottie Clark Championships on February 17, and 18th. 

2010/2011 Vision Charter School Snow Team  

To be an active participant you must:

  • Follow school policy
  • With a parent/guardian, fill out and return the snow team consent form and information sheet.
  • Pay the $20.00 snow team dues (this pays for the bus to the Dotty Clark race and miscellaneous expenses) This is due by December 2nd . 2010
  • Attend  at least 3 of the 6 Saturday races
  • Participate in the Dotty Clark race (Thursday, Feb 18 (Middle School) Friday, Feb. 19 (High School)
  • Attend scheduled meetings.

Students must provide:

  • Their own season pass or day ticket (racers may purchase a discounted season pass  for $349.00, or a day pass at bogus for $24 (that's 1/2 price) each day on race days)
  • Their own equipment (may be rented at Bogus or any ski shop)
  • Their own transportation to the ski hill (Bogus Basin provides round trip bus rides for $13.00.)
  • Students must bring their snow team ID card and race card to races.
  • We need at least one parent per race to help supervise students in the lodge at Bogus.  Email Matt Banning at the email address below if you would like to volunteer.

Christmas Vacation: NO SCHOOL December 20-31st. We will see you back at VCS on January 3rd, 2011.

 

Coming up shortly is the Winter Wonderland Dance for the High Schooler's. This will be a semi formal dance with great music, food, and dancing. It will be held on January 13th from 6:30 to 9:30pm at the Middleton Trolley Station. Students may bring one approved friend to the social. $6 tickets will be sold the week of the social, so don't forget to purchase one and join us at this wonderful event!

 

Middle School students will be able to join in a MOVIE NIGHT on Thursday, January 13th! Tickets will be sold the week of the event. Students may also use their activity card for entry into this event. Don't forget- students must have all C's or above to attend.

NO SCHOOL FRIDAY, JANUARY 14, 2010 AND MONDAY, JANUARY 17, 2010.


Thursday, January 20, 2010 is the VCS 4TH-10TH grade Ski Night at Bogus Basin! Ask your child to pick up the packet in the office if you would like them to attend. If you are interested in being a chaperone, please e-mail Mr. Banning at mattbanning@visioncsd.org.  We need to have ten chaperones. Mr. Banning will accept the first ten parents who e-mail him or call the office to attend as a chaperone with their 4th - 10th grade student.  He will confirm with you by e-mail if you have been selected to chaperone.
