BEFORE AND AFTER SCHOOL PICK UP AND DROP OFF PROCEDURES:

We are concerned about student safety and do not want children on the playground unsupervised. Students are allowed on the playground after 7:45am.
  • Parents dropping off students need to pull up to the double cones past the lamppost and wait until they are on the south side of the driveway prior to allowing their children out of the car.
-Students will then travel down the sidewalk to the playground.

-Students are not permitted to travel through the parking lot.

-Please pull up as far as possible before unloading your child.
  • Please do not park your car on Ward Road and walk your child in to the office or classroom. Parents who have business in the office may park in the parking lot.
  • Parents in the drop off and pick up line must stay in their car and keep the line quickly moving.
  • Please do not block the driveway to the school or the entrances to the subdivisions. 
  • This is not the time to address questions or concerns with the teachers or administrators as getting the kids loaded safely is our highest priority. Please e-mail or call us at the school and we will promptly reply.
  • Parents in line on Ward must stay in the car and continue to move forward in a single file line on Ward heading south.
  • Students will not be allowed to enter the car until the parent has passed the entrance to the school and the car is pulled all the way forward in the line. This is a safety precaution.
  • Please have your family's last name in the window where it is visible to the adults on duty. This will speed the process.
  • Instruct your children to watch for your car and notify the adult on duty as soon as they see your vehicle.
  • Please do not ever pull a u-turn in front of the school for any reason.
  • All children, including high school students must walk on the sidewalk and not through the parking lot.
  • Students may walk home from school provided you send a hand written and signed note. All children should walk up to the road on the sidewalk past the school sign and then travel down Ward Road. Please request any alternative walking pattern in writing.
  • Children should wait in the parent pick up line until all of their family members are together in the event the students are walking home or to a prearranged parking location.
  • Do NOT park on Ward Road heading North or South.
  • Parents MAY park on SkyWay Road and request in writing that their children walk to meet them.

    Everything that our staff does is to keep your children safe. The line will be shorter tomorrow, however, it will not be perfect. If we all follow the expectations, the time that you have to wait for your children will become much shorter and the process will be safe for all children and adults.

Thank you for your patience as we figure out the kinks in the pick up and drop off line. It will get better! :) The Kid Corral area where children will be held while they wait for their parents is being fenced this week. Unfortunately, the grass is very new! We will not be able to have your children on that grass for two to three more weeks.

We suggest you pick your child up fifteen minutes prior to the end of the day if you have an extenuating one time circumstance that requires you be somewhere immediately after school. The line will quickly become under control. Please watch the teachers for direction and quickly load and unload your students in the LOADING/ UNLOADING ZONE which is located south of the parking lot entrance and will be clearly marked tomorrow.

We will be closing the parking lot exit/entrance at 3:15pm daily. Parents wanting to exit the parking lot will have to wait until all other pick up students are loaded to exit the parking lot.
