LAND UPDATE: We have our certificates of occupancy and are in the process of moving into the portables on Ward Road. The grass is in, the skirting is up, the new playground is in and now we need help with the finishing touches. You and your family are invited to attend one of two work days or come to both! |

K-6th grade Meet the Teacher Night and Ribbon Cutting Ceremony: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Greetings!
Kindergarten through sixth grade students and parents are invited to attend "Meet the Teacher Night" from 5-7pm on Tuesday, August 17, 2010! Parents will be able to meet staff, see the classrooms, assist their child in putting away school supplies, and check out the new site!
Vision will hold a Silent Auction for Boise Open tickets valued at $70 a ticket! All proceeds will go to the new playground. Thank you to Board Chairman, Lee Hannah for donating these tickets to benefit Vision Charter School.
All parents and students are invited to bring a dessert to share with other families as we celebrate the ribbon cutting of Vision Charter School and the playground dedication at 6 pm. This will be a great time to reconnect with old friends and make new friends! |
| 7th-10th grade Back to School Night:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Seventh through tenth grade Vision Charter School students are invited to the first social of the year from 5-7pm on Monday, August 16, 2010! Parents are encouraged to attend with your secondary student for the first thirty minutes assisting your child in getting their schedule and locker, finding their homeroom, and putting away their supplies. Parents are encouraged to sign their child into the social by 5:30pm and pick them up by 7pm. Students will enjoy dessert, music, games, dancing, meeting new friends and seeing familiar faces.

VOLUNTEER WORK DAYS: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Thursday, August 12, 2010 from 5-9pm and Saturday, August 14, 2010 from 8am-noon at Vision Charter School. Bring your shovels, gloves, and paint brushes! We need help with the following on Thursday night:
1. Digging holes for the swing set and fort. 2. Moving and securing the railroad ties. 3. Painting the skirting. 4. Cleaning desks, chairs, and shelves. 5. Painting the lockers. 6. Pulling weeds. 7. Building planter boxes for the school gardens. 8. Moving pea gravel around the playground equipment. 9. Helping Mr. Banning build the fences.

**Don't Forget to send a SACK LUNCH - The catered lunch program will not be available for purchase until the first of September. Menus will be available online by the end of August. **Dress code details are available online at visioncharterschool.net on the left hand side under "useful information". **Student Supervision starts at 7:45am daily. Students may be picked up starting at 3:10pm and must be picked up by 3:25pm at the latest. **Students may be dropped off or picked up in an orderly line with cars heading SOUTH on Ward Road lining up in a straight line behind the pick-up point directly in front of the school sign. This will prevent students from having to cross the road before or after school and increase the safety of all students. **Questions regarding high school zero hour seminary courses need to be directed to Christopher C. Nordfelt at 318-0365.
