Is it a sunburned zebra; a newspaper; a snacking vampire?

Artists were challenged to come up with their own unique, fiber-oriented answers beyond the originals. This delightful little riddle presents a visual and verbal challenge that is answered in 'some things looming's' first major show of the 2012-2012 season.

Once again we are delighted to see how artists approached the challenge of this exhibit.

Some chose to deal with the color challenge while others incorporated the challenge of the riddle.

To your right we've given you a tiny sneak peak.

Mark your calendar right now and join us for this fun, sometimes serious and sometimes whimsical exhibit of fiber art.

We know it's September, but raise your hand ('cause it's back to school time) if September doesn't always feel as much like a beginning as it does the ending (of summer).

This is Steven.  He is starting his freshmen year at West Chester University this fall.  It's definately a new beginning for him.  You might recognize this handsome young man who has been our handyman helper and boutique assistant during openings.  He's also grandson and nephew and so because we can, we thought we'd share.  We're going to miss his help but we're delighted for him.
Steven
At STL, we feel the excitedment of new beginnings too.  We can hardly believe we are starting our fourth exhibit season.  With all humility, we thank you for your continuing support.  This new season we've designated as a strengthening time where we work hard to get better and better at the things we like to do and you seem to appreciate.  More on that another time...happy labor day and back to school time.
 Sincerely,

Rebekah and Melanie
