A different way of creating wearable art.....
Over the course of three weeks, eleven Albright College students from diverse academic backgrounds came together to rediscover the elemental joy and freedom of creative expression. Calling forth the sensory experiences of that "brand new box of crayons" on the first day of kindergarten, the students were given the assignment of crafting a wearable garment to be featured in a runway show.
....February 11th beginning at 1:00 - 3:00 p.m.
@ some things looming.
After the opening reception and wearables show the garments will be available for viewing on February 18th. The students garments and art will be merchandised by Albright College students in the spring 2012 Visual Merchandising & Design class.
Both courses are being taught by Connie Heller Horacek (MFA, graduate of Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA). She has studied at Kutztown University, University of Kansas, University of Colorado, Midland Lutheran College and Western Illinois University.
