Saturday Samplers

 We have lots of fun every Saturday Morning.  If you haven't found time to join us yet, take a peek at the next 6 weeks offerings and take the plunge. 

 

We'll have the coffee pot on and the tea brewing!    

 

Don't forget that OPEN STUDIO is every Saturday from 1:00 to 3:00.  Come on in, bring your hand work and network with some like minded folks.  Find that discipline to finish a project that you've been putting off.  Get a little help with a Sampler project or stick around to finish your morning project.

Kool-aide. It's more than a kids' drink, it can also be used as a dye.  In this class, we'll use this well-known powdered drink mix to paint a skein of yarn that will be wound in class.

Tunisian Crochet

Tunisian crochet, also known as Afghan crochet,  is sometimes considered to be a mixture of crocheting and knitting. 

We'll learn the simple tunisian stitch and a new  variation of the same stitch.  So if you took this sampler before, you will still learn something new this time.

Students will have time to practice and will get some ideas on how to build on the new skill.

Several yarn colors to choose from or bring your Kool-aide dyed yarn.

Have you mastered the basic stitches but still struggle to start and finish a project because you struggle to understand the pattern on your own? 

 

Kit includes yarn, pattern and hook to make hat.  Several colors to choose from.

 

Seasoned crocheters will enjoy making this hat also!  It uses a tapestry crochet technique and a unique way to change colors.

Triangle Loom

Triangle looms can be made in all sizes, but this class will be taught with a small 12" loom to create small triangle pieces.

 

Well what can you do with small triangles?  You can make several triangles and piece them together to create lovely scarves, shawls, and maybe even blankets.

 

No weaving experience needed!

 

We'll tell you how to make your own triangle loom and the results are then limited by your imagination only!
