Students will :

·         Create one stamp to take home with them to use,

·         Have the opportunity to create up to 4 "fat eighths" (9x22") samples using already made stamps

Dyes will be pre-mixed, but a brief over-view of how to use and make thickened dye will be discussed.

Fabric pigments and paints can change the texture and feel of cloth, but it is thought of as an easy way to create pattern.  By using thickened dye, one can paint, roller, or even stamp pattern into the cloth.  In this Sampler, we'll be focusing on the process of making a balsa wood stamp, a stamp pad, and applying fiber reactive procion MX dye to cloth.
