Wow, its November already and we are fast looking at the end of a simply beautiful show, 'simply irRESISTible' the closing reception complete with Drum Circle is November 14th and we hope to see you then. The results of our Saturday Sampler, Shibori - Make and Return are hanging in the community gallery and they are really cool. I think everyone learned to appreciate the talented artists results currently in the main gallery. The artistic elves will be very busy after the 14th transforming the gallery and the building into a holiday haven full of wonderful handmade gifts. Support your local artists and the USA economy and buy handmade in the USA. Handmade Holidays opens Black Friday, Nov 26th and continues through Dec. 22nd. Look for the article in this newsletter for extended hours. Don't get worn out in the mall, come sip some hot cider, have a cookie, listen to the holiday music and get into the spirit of things. There are a few more Saturday Samplers scheduled into November. Next week's earring class could result in you making a nice gift to give and the skill to make some more. Over the holidays we'll take a break from regular scheduled Saturday Samplers since we'll all be concentrating on preparing for the holidays but never fear, we've got a long list of ideas to get you through the quiet winter weekends. 'some things looming' is your community. We exist to encourage and to provide an outlet for fiber artists to create and sell their work and a place to learn the traditional fiber arts.
