Coming Events
June - 2010 |

Community = a group of people who come together with common interests.
Since we want some things looming to become a community of artists and hobbyist interest in fiber arts, we decided we need to begin to provide opportunities for us to get together, create, and to pursue our art.
See some offerings below where Melanie has a fun idea for teaching some color theory and using up your yarn scraps in Techni-Color. And Rebekah will show you how to take a piece of jewelry that has potential but you just don't love anymore into something new that you do love. Take both classes, applying Melanie's lessons on color theory to the re-design of your jewelry and save $10.00.
Looking forward, we are going to use July and August to plan next year's programs. September we'll kick off our gallery exhibits with "Simply irRESISTible" and an Open Studio two times a month where we can hang out together and keep those creative juices flowing. Oh....and there's lots more planned. Stay Tuned as we firm up our next year.
We've added a feature to our sign ups to make it easier for you to register on line. If you'd rather call or contact us by email or snail mail, we're all about accommodating you. Reach out in whatever way you are comfortable.
Our best,
Melanie and Rebekah

Handmade Nation
Today's craft world has emerged as a synthesis of historical technique, punk culture, and the DIY ethos, also influenced by traditional handiwork, modern aesthetics, politics, feminism and art.
Director Faythe Levine captured the tightly knit community that exists through websites, blogs, and online stores that connect to the greater public through independent boutiques, galleries and craft fairs.
Interviews were conducted on-location in artist studios, homes, boutiques, offices and craft fairs, giving the public an exclusive and rarely seen look into the lives of these creative individuals.
Seating is limited so sign up early!
