Eric Jensen-owned, -trained and -bred Cascade Explosion, a 2008 Oregon-bred son of Cascadian, became the 11th winner from 11 foals for 2008 Washington broodmare of the year Exploded's Girl when he won his initial outing, a maiden claiming race at Portland Meadows on November 30. The new winner is a three-quarter brother to Washington champions I'madrifter and Ladyledue.
Vann Belvoir saddled three winners at Hollywood Park over the final weekend in November. Two, Dress Code (2006 gelding by Doneraile Court), who won a $22,500 claimer, and first-time starter Maryjean (a 2009 filly by D'wildcat), who won a $30,000 maiden claiming race, are owned by Vann and his wife Sauci. The third winner of the trio was Todd Hansen's 2009 colt Yes It's Snowing, a son of Yes It's Truce who won for a $32,000 tag. Yes It's Snowing had placed in two races last summer at Emerald Downs before breaking his maiden at Santa Anita. Karl C. Kreig II's homebred Absolutely Cool earned his second stakes placement when the 2007 Washington-bred gelding by Absolute Harmony, by Basket Weave, finished second by a half-length to Dancing Tribal in the $35,000 Caballos Del Sol Stakes at Turf Paradise on December 3. The Valorie Lund trainee improved his record to 4-4-1 from 13 starts and has earned $54,892.
Gary Hughes'2010 Emerald Downs Derby winner Saratoga Boot went over the $100,000 mark after he won a mile allowance race at Turf Paradise on December 10. The Arkansas-bred son of Storm Boot, who is trained by Mike Chambers, improved his record to 3-2-4 from 19 starts and $102,182.
Al and Saundra Kirkwood's Bling Cha Bling won a six-furlong maiden special weight race over Hollywood Park's turf course on December 10. The 2009 Texas-bred colt by Too Much Bling, who is trained by Kathy Walsh, took the race by 2 1/4 lengths The $185,000 Barrett's two-year-old sale purchase has earned $49,750 in five starts.
Dr. George Todaro and trainer Jerry Hollendorfer's Lady of Fifty took her third win in four stars after the 2009 filly from the first crop of After Market out of K. D.'s Shady won the $75,260 Corte Madera Stakes at Golden Gate on December 3. Hollendorfer also trained the second and third place finishers in the mile race. Two-year-old Reconstruction, a Kentucky-bred son of Broken Vow-Dixie Crisp bred in partnership by Todaro and raced in partnership by Dr. Mark Dedomenico, won a six-panel maiden special weight race at Golden Gate Fields in gate-to-wire fashion on December 11. On December 14, Dedomenico and trainer Jerry Hollendorfer's Capital Plan, a 2008 Kentucky-bred daughter of Rock Hard Ten-Miss Dahlia won a 1 1/6-mile allowance at Hollywood Park by 3 3/4 lengths. It marked her third win in six starts and upped her earnings to $102,500. . Todaro, Dedomenico and Hollendorfer's 2008 colt Photo Shopped, a Kentucky-bred son of Mr. Greeley-Very Vegas, won his third race on November 24 at Golden Gate Fields and upped his earnings to $77,120. Dedomenico also owns Hoy Shot R N, a 2008 Kentucky-bred daughter of Aragorn (Ire)-Whiletheiron'shot, by Smart Strike, who is now two-for-two after winning a mile allowance at Turf Paradise on December 16.
Michael and Amy Feuerborn's homebred El Gran Bebe, a 2008 Kentucky-bred son of Friends Lake out of the Feuerborn's Emerald Downs champion Bianconi Baby, won a 1 1/16-mile turf allowance race at Golden Gate by 1 1/4 lengths on December 10...The Jim Penney trainee has won his last three starts and four races overall. He has earned $55,548.
Tim and Sue Spooner's 2008 filly Chasin Perfection won her second race in four starts when the Kentucky-bred daughter of Borrego-Guam Lass came home by a length in a mile starter allowance over Golden Gate's turf course. The Dan Markle trainee has earned $20,925.
Cahill Chrome, a juvenile son of the late Cahill Road bettered his record to 3-2-1 from eight starts after the California-bred gelding out of Takes Two to Mango won a mile allowance at Golden Gate on November 24, increasing his earnings to $51,682.
Warlock Stables, Horseplayers Racing Club 032 and James Broussard's stakes-winning Winter Warlock, a 2008 son of Roche Farm stallion and Washington horse of the year Demon Warlock, won a six-furlong allowance test at Golden Gate on November 24. The Tim McCanna trainee, who was bred in Washington by Tim Floyd, improved his record to 3-5-3 from 15 starts and has earned $102,877.
Rocket Roan, a 2007 British Columbia-bred son of Tribunal-Maria's Hit, by Maria's Mon, won for the fourth time after he took a mile allowance at Turf Paradise on December 2. He has earned $59,619.
Kettle Corn, the 2007 son of Candy Ride (Arg) who won the $100,000 Native Diver Handicap (G3) at Hollywood Park on December 3, was bred in Kentucky by former WTBOA board member Jim Plemmons. The new stakes winner's dam is Somethingbeautiful, whose sire, Kentucky Derby (G1) winner Lil E. Tee, stood at Plemmon's Kentucky farm. It was the runner's sixth win in a dozen starts and he has earned $171,891.
Stakes-placed Fu Peg He Rat, a 2006 son of Fusaichi Pegasus, won his 10th race on December 4 at Golden Gate. The half-brother to El Dorado Farms LLC's stakes winner Houseofroyalhearts - whose first foals race in 2012 - has earned $209,860
Two-year-old Diamond Dancer, who had broken her maiden at Emerald Downs last July, won a six-furlong allowance test at Turf Paradise on December 5. It was the second win for the British Columbia-bred daughter of Mazel Trick. Diamond Dancer is out of $145,512 Washington-bred stakes winner La Belle Fleur, by Son of Briartic.
Vinny V., a stakes-winning son of El Dorado Farms LLC's Matty G out of Boat House, by Housebuster, won his 10 race on December 18 at Sunland Park. The Kentucky-bred has now earned $185,629.
La Chispe, a 2009 daughter of Toccet, won a six-panel maiden special weight race at Golden Gate Fields on December 15 for her breeders John Bredeson and Greg Geiser and fellow partner Cheryl Nations. The new winner is out of $193,495 Washington-bred stakes winner Rollette, by Basket Weave.
Chukchi Sunrise, a 2006 Washington-bred daughter of Russellthemussell-Kalowana Sunrise, by Aloha Prospector, bred by Seawind Stables LLC, won for the seventh time overall and fifth time in 2011, after she took a $25,000 claiming race at Golden Gate on December 16. She has earned $74,524.
David P. Taylor Sr's Reagan Republican won a six-furlong allowance test at Golden Gate on December 17. The 2004 California-bred son of Siberian Summer-Silver Service, by Silver Deputy, who is trained by Frank Lucarelli and was ridden by Leslie Mawing, has earned $173,396 with his 5-8-3 record from 29 lifetime starts.
Washington-owned runners finished one-two-three in a $20,000 claimer over Golden Gate's turf course on December 17. Remmah Racing Inc.'s Dugan Bill, a California-bred son of Minister's Wild Cat won the mile race by 6 1/2 lengths. R and R Warren LLC's Big Bad Brown, trained by Jim Penney, finished second and Mark Dedomenico LLC, Dr. George Todaro, Barnett Stables LLC and trainer Jerry Hollendorfer's Triple Action brought home third money.

She has now earned $68,679.
Buying Snow, a 2006 Quarter Horse gelding by former Washington sire Snowbound dead-heated with Jus Ledoux It for the win in the $35,000 First Downs Dash Handicap at Los Alamitos on December 17. It was Buying Snow's four win in eight starts.

Ben's Cat, the Maryland champion son of Gibson Thoroughbred Farm stallion Parker's Storm Cat added another $22,000 to his totals after he was narrowly defeated by a neck and a nose in the $200,000 Six Bits Handicap run at Penn National on November 23. The 2006 gelding out of Twofox was earning his eighth 2011 stakes placement and has now earned $800,230 in two seasons of racing.
