Stephen Fuller was baptized at Wellington on May 16. In his testimony Stephen talked about his old life of sin from Ephesians 2:1-3 and what God had done for Him through Jesus Christ from Ephesians 2:4-10. Stephen also spoke of his gratitude for Wellington's focus on Scripture that led to his conversion to Jesus Christ. Stephen is an active participant in our Student Ministry.

Faithful Servants Of Christ
I Peter 4:10 says, "Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God's grace in its various forms." In this brief article I would like to point out a couple who has been obedient to this important verse. John and Diana Drexler have faithfully served WellingtonChurch in many different ways over the past 4 years. John has applied his gift as a musician to help lead in worship. Diana has immersed herself in women's Bible studies as well as discipled junior high girls throughout the summer. Both John and Diana have served faithfully in our student ministry. They have gone on retreats, camping trips, been there on Sunday morning and Sunday evening to help lead small groups and contribute helpful insights to our Bible studies for the students.
John and Diana Drexler
 | On a personal note, John and Diana have also been great friends to Brianna and I over the years. Here is just one example. Several weeks ago Addison hurt herself at church and we were concerned about whether to take her to the hospital or not. Because John is a doctor I called and asked him his opinion. Instead of simply offering his opinion John and Diana drove over to our house to look at Addison and John was able to help offer advice that was very helpful for our family. This is just one example of the way the Drexler's have served our family.
Later this month the Drexler's will be moving to Cleveland, Ohio as John starts an excellent one year program at the Cleveland Clinic hospital. Although we are sad to see them go, we are also thankful that another church will benefit from their service. If you see John and Diana over the next few weeks at Wellington please thank them for their faithfulness and please pray that God would continue to bring in to Wellington couples like the Drexler's whose love for Christ prompts them to serve in so many ways.
In Christ, Blake Gillen |

New Babies! While Wellington is experiencing several new families every week our current members continue to add to our church family with the addition of newborns.
This fall we want to come along side the parents of Wellington recognizing their newborns. It is our desire as a church to minister to you and your family and to help you with the Biblical mandate God has given you to bring up your children in the discipline and instruction of the Lord (Ephesians 6:4).
If you have a child under the age of 2 who has not been previously recognized then we invite you to let us know about your child. Please make us aware of your child and the following information: date of birth, child's name, siblings, parent's names. Also provide us with a contact number or email. Please call us with any questions at 219-3100 or email us. |

Middle School Girls Bible Study
This summer Janah James and Cassidy Northrip along with Diana Drexler are leading the Middle School girls in a Bible study through Acts 16 and the book of Philippians. Using the book Lydia of Philippi by Sherree G. Funk as our guide, they are focusing on Paul the Apostle and Lydia of Philippi. The study guides girls in learning how to be humble, hospitable, generous, joyful and prayerful. They chose this for their study because of the great characters of Paul and Lydia. Both have great conversion stories, exemplify the character qualities that they are focusing on, and were faithful servants of Christ. They will wrap up the study with a tea party for both the girls and their mothers as a time to reflect on what the girls have learned. We have already had the first meeting, but girls are still more than welcome to join and are encouraged to bring a friend. They meet on Mondays at 10 A.M. If you would like more information email us. We hope that you will have your daughters include this study in their summer plans. |

India Adoption Ministry Wellington is continuing the India Adoption Ministry for another year. Many who supported an orphan this past year have also committed to supporting the same child for another year. If you have done so, please pick up your packet with your envelopes for financial support on a table in the back of the worship center. We still have 15 orphans who do not have someone to support them. If you would like to participate by providing food, shelter and an opportunity to learn the gospel for $20 a month, please go to the table in the back of the worship center. You may pick up a packet with your child's name and sign up. Thank you for your support of this ministry. |
