20th anniversary Kabuki Restaurant party report

3rd Social Sake Club Meeting at Izakaya Fu-ga in Little Tokyo
April 28th from 7pm-10pm

Kabuki Restaurant 20th Anniversary Celebration Report

Memorable Party at the Japanese American National Museum in Little Tokyo

On April 5th, 2011, starting at 6 p.m., the 20th Anniversary Kabuki Restaurant Party had been held at Aratani Center Hall at the Japanese American National Museum in Little Tokyo. The total number of participants were approximately 250 who came to celebrate this event that commemorated  Kabuki Restaurant's first location opening. Founder & President of Kabuki restaurants, Mr. David Lee, who is extremely fond of his careers in hospitality and restaurant management, has tastefully used his passions to establish the Kabuki Japanese Restaurants empire throughout the states of California, Arizona, and Nevada with a total of 14 currently open locations.

His vision has been always encompassing innovation, creativity, and expansion in all his business deals. He has a very unique and rich background. Mr. Lee earned a Master Degree in Engineering. At first, for him, it looked like there is no correlation between engineering and restaurant management. However, the skills that he had learned while attending school of engineering has been helping him put into practice his raw and untested ideas into the real world of  business, particularly, restaurant management. As a matter of fact, to productively manage 14 locations and be successful simultaneously is not an easy task; it requires systematic management skills.

Overall, the party was well organized. All the guests had a chance to take photos with Beverage R&D Manager Mr. Yuji Matsumoto, who wore Japanese Traditional attire at the welcoming entrance, which is men's Kimono. All management members had been welcomed with warm hearts to the attendees following cocktail rounds at the reception area where refreshments and various alcoholic beverages were prepared and served.  After all the invited guests had arrived, then all were invited to the Aratani main hall for the dinner party.

In the midst of the event, Introduction by Paul "PK" Kim master of ceremony, welcome remarks by Young Kim Director of marketing,

presentations by the American  Red Cross- Japan Earthquake  Tsunami Relief, Office of LA Mayor Antonio R. Villaraigosa, commendation from City of Pasadena, commendation From City of Burbank, congratulatory message by Robert Chais, company video, keynote speaker by founder and President, David Lee, Employees' recognition ceremony for those of more than 10 years of service at Kabuki restaurants, saluting of company's partners, cake cutting by David & Joan Lee, Sake Toast by Yuji Matsumoto, and closing remarks by Director of Operations, Sue Park. One of the greatest achievements at the party was that Kabuki Restaurants donated a

portion of its sales to Japan Earthquake & Tsunami Relief through the American Red Cross. The total amount of 22,239.00 U.S. Dollars was allocated to the Japan Earthquake Relief Fund. And a transaction fee of 9% was contributed to American Red Cross.

In general, the party was an excellent and successful experience filled with fantastic music and lightings. And the cake, which was designed in a Sushi-like shape was served and indulged by many guests. In fact, few restaurant chains would have been able to organize such a memorable party.

About Film "Sushi Girl"

Summary:

Fish has spent six years in jail. Six years alone. Six years keeping his mouth shut about the robbery, about the other men involved. The night he is released, the four men he protected with silence celebrate his freedom with a congratulatory dinner. The meal is a lavish array of sushi, served off the naked body of a beautiful young woman. The sushi girl seems catatonic, trained to ignore everything in the room, even if things become dangerous. Sure enough, the four unwieldy thieves can't help but open old wounds in an attempt to find their missing loot.
