Dear valued readers,
 

March 11th 2011 the biggest earthquake was hit Japan Tohoku Miyagi.  Consequently Tsunami, Fire, Nuclear leaks and snow have damaged to the area and people who are in the regions. Now we are starting to get together to fundraise for people in Japan form Sothern California.

Especially our neighbor Little Tokyo is known for Japanese Food restaurants and Japanese shops. So we can take actions to help people. So not only Japanese but also people who are here in the US can help each other.

We will be announcing the Japan Disaster related event promply. (Keiko)

JRO Los Angeles to host a Menu Merchandising Seminar on Vinegar

 

 

Dear Sir or Madam,

 

The Organization to Promote Japanese Restaurants Abroad JRO is Japanese non-profit

Organization established July 2007. It has set up networks of affiliates in the Japanese food and restaurant industry all over the world for the purpose of promoting and presenting healthy and high-quality Japanese food.

 

JRO Los Angeles has conducted its first menu merchandising seminar in November 2010 to

Introduce Japanese basic seasonings Umami. The second seminar is scheduled for March 7,

2011 and it will focus on vinegar. A series of seminars are planned subsequently with

Focuses on Miso soy bean paste, Shoyu soy sauce, and Mirin sweet cooking rice wine.

 

Through this seminar, participants will obtain valuable information on Japanese cooking and ingredients. We welcome the attendance of concerned parties, in particular chefs, menu

Merchandisers/buyers and those involved in the foodservice trade. There are a limited number

of seats, so please RSVP as soon as possible to ensure your place.

Sushi and Sake Magazine is a monthly English Language publication dedicated to presenting Japnanese culture in Southern California to readers with foucus on Japanese food, Cultural events, business, education, entertainment and travel. Sushi and Sake magazine is grateful for the tremendous support of those cultured individuals who have an interest in foreign cultures. Since its founding in 2000, every year the number of published copies has increased. Every month, the published number of copies is 55,000 which are read avidly by approximately 150,000 people.

 

Japnese Restaurant News is a monthly magazines with the primary objective of disseminating information to the Japanese food anf beverage industry regarding sales anf marketing, legal and regulatory measures, food safety and hygienic presentation, service and disposal of food as well as sanitation regarding cooking utensils and related items, restraurant openings and reviews and the latest trends in japanese cuisine. The news magazine is printed in both Japanese and Engish, serving a sophisticated rearship, with distribution nationwide, including Los Angeles, SanFrancisco, Seattle, New York, Boston, Washington D.C, Miami, Chicago, Dallas and Houston metropolitan areas and in Japan, too. Japanese Restaurant News was founded in 1991. It has been growing ever since and now has a circulation of 10,000. Copies are distributed at retail establishments such as Japanese Restaurants and to subscribers.
