MHS Summer Reading Lists Announced

All students at Mansfield High School are encouraged to read one or more books for their enjoyment and for their continued skill development during summer vacation. The following link will give you the information for suggested titles that are related thematically to the different English courses' units. They vary in levels of difficulty. These books should be available at most bookstores and at the Mansfield Public Library.
Also, all students enrolling in US History I Honors are asked to read the historical fiction work, "Shredding Grace." More information about this reading assignment may be found at this link. |
From the MHS Guidance Department...

The MHS Guidance Department would like to wish everyone a happy and healthy summer. We strongly encourage members of the Class of 2012 to spend some time this summer thinking about their post high school plans, whether they are looking to continue their education, enter the workforce or military or explore GAP year opportunities to travel or volunteer their time. Summer is a great time to visit schools, work on resumes, and think about the future without the pressures of school, sports or extracurricular activities filling your day. You can access your Naviance Family Connection account all year round and it offers information about careers, interest inventories and colleges. For those students who have not yet completed your guidance questionnaire, summertime is a great time to complete the survey (and one less item on your fall "to do" list). While having fun in the sun, please remember that September will be here quickly and it is never too early to start planning for your future!
Additionally, we are pleased to announce that registration for Summer School will take place this week on Thursday, June 30 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm and Friday, July 1 from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon. The summer school session will run from July 5 to 22. More information is available at this link. |
