This is the greatest number of Gold and Silver Keys we have received in memory.  Over 12,000 individual entries were submitted.  The winners represent the very best of young artists across the
Commonweatlh.  Gold Key and Silver Key artwork will be displayed at the MA Transportation Building at Park Square in Boston from Monday, February 14 to Thursday, April 7, 2011.  The hours are Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.  and Sunday, 12:00 noon - 4:00 p.m.  There are no Saturday hours or holiday hours.  Congratulations to our award winners!

Business Students Soar at DECA District Competition

On Friday, February 4 MHS Business Education teacher Jaqueline Prester brought ten of our Business Club students at the DECA District Competition at the Mansfield Holiday Inn.  Seven MHS students won awards in their events and now qualify to compete at the DECA State Competition.  They had a great time and really impressed the judges.

 

Here are the winners and their events:

  • Jessica Bouchard (grade 10) - 3rd place in Principles of Business Management & Administration
  • Nicholas Carafa (grade 12) - 3rd place in Sports & Entertainment Marketing
  • Patrick Greaney and David Helebert (both grade 12) - 4th place in Business Law & Ethics Team Decision Making Event
  • Jeremy Mall (grade 9) - 3rd place in Quick Serve Restaurant Management
  • Kevin Joseph Murphy (grade 12) - 1st place in Retail Merchandising
  • Shane Roy (grade 11) - 4th place in Marketing Management

Sophomores to Hold Fundraiser at COSI on 2/9

cosiThe sophomore class of Mansfield High School is hungry and looking for your support and appetite!  Please take a night off from cooking dinner on Wednesday, February 9th and stop by COSI Restaurant at Mansfield Crossing for amazing soups, sandwiches, pizzas, and desserts.  The generous folks there will be donating 10% of all orders placed between the hours of 4:30-8:30 pm to the students' class fund at the sschool (no flier required).  Visit the COSI website to view the delicious items on the menu, call to place a take-out order, or simply come and enjoy the atmosphere and have have dinner at COSI with some of the students of the sophomore class and their families.  We know evening activities make weekday nights crazy.  Make yours a little easier and let someone else do the cooking on Wednesday the 9th!  Your support is needed and truly appreciated!

Mansfield High School presents the seventh annual Cabaret Night shows on Friday, February 11th and Saturday, February 12th at 7:00 pm in MHS' Barbara Trombley Auditorium.  Entertaining music from Broadway shows and movies will be performed by Mansfield High School's talented singers and dancers.    Musical numbers include "She's in Love" from The Little Mermaid, "It's a Hard Knock Life" from Annie, a medley from Hair, and the title song from "Singing in the Rain" to name a few.   A delicious complementary dessert buffet will be served after the show.  Tickets will be available at the door for $10 adults/students and $5 for children under 10.
