Super Bowl Champs Honored at the State House
super bowl champs

On Thursday, January 20th, the Division II Super Bowl Champions MHS Hornets football team had the privilege of spending the day at the Massachusetts State House in Boston. The players and coaches were hosted by Representative Jay Barrows, Assistant Minority Leader Betty Poirier, Representative Louis Kafka and Senator James Timilty (pictured above in the front row with the team in the State House Rotunda). The team received an extensive tour of the State House and were introduced to both the House of Representatives and the Senate, where they received standing ovations from both branches. They also received lunch from their gracious hosts.

In addition to viewing the State House's beautiful architecture and learning of its rich history, the student athletes were able to get a first-hand look at how our state legislature operates.  Below, Representative Poirier instructs the student athletes on how the parliamentary process works in the House.

A Fresh New Venue for the 2011 All Night Party

foxboro ymcaIt's official- the annual All Night Party has been booked at the Foxboro YMCA for June 3-4, 2011.  This new venue will no doubt provide many more fun opportunities (pool, exercise rooms, gaming rooms, etc.) for members of the Class of 2011.  It should be a blast.

With that said, please attend the next planning meeting of the All Night Party Planning Committee on Tuesday night, 1/25 at 7:00 pm in Room 185.  The event is completely organized by dedicated parents- we need your help!
