The students competed in the Bryant Bulldog Challenge, an annual competition for high school business education students from Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. For the compettion, the students had to study a business case, make a proposal for future opportunities, and then formally present their findings to a panel of judges. For the second consecutive year Mansfield High School won the compettion! Amanda Eardley and Josh Marohn are repeat champions as they were also on last year's team.
MHS Business teacher Jacqueline Prester is so proud of these students, as they did a fantastic job and really highlighted both their business knowledge and presentation skills. Congratulations! |

"Rehearsal for Murder" is Coming December 3 & 4
 T
On Friday and Saturday, December 3rd and 4th at 7:30pm the MHS Performing Arts Department will present the mystery "Rehearsal for Murder" from the teleplay by Richard Levinson and William Link adapted by D.D. Brookes. Part play-within-a-play, "Rehearsal for Murder" details the story of the female lead's murder on opening night, and her playwright fiancé's quest to find her killer. With a wink and a nod to Hamlet, the playwright gathers actors, technicians and other stagehands from the night of her death to read his latest play, which eerily connects the dots of his fiancé's murder. There are surprising revelations and humorous twists all along the way to solving this clever mystery. Tickets will be available at the door for $8 (students and senior citizens) and $10 (adults). Pictured above, the cast: (from left to right - back row): Nikolas Costello, Sean Neary, Ashley Goverman, Johhny Fullerton, Nicole Lynch, Parker Ackerman, Sarah Shear, Colin Rumbel, Olivia Titus, and Devin Davies; (front row sitting): Tony Cutillo, Emily Ruddy, and Jill Holland |
Ornament Band to Play @ MHS to Support Hockey
 T
Ornament, Southern New England's Premier Rock Orchestra, will
present a concert entitled "A Tribute to the Trans Siberian Orchestra" in the main auditorium of Mansfield High School on Sunday, December 12, 2010 at 4:00 pm.
The concert is sponsored by the Mansfield Ice Hockey Boosters.
Ornament, an eleven-piece rock orchestra currently in their fifth year of touring, presents the music of the Trans Siberian Orchestra (TSO). Reproducing the actual shows performed by TSO on a smaller scale, they include narration, lights, smoke machines, lasers, and snow machines. Using music and narration to tell a story of the true meaning of Christmas, the show helps us all remember what the holiday season is truly about. This is a show appreciated by all ages and uses traditional holiday carols and songs sung to rock, blues and gospel music.
In the spirit of the holiday season, the concert will help raise funds to help support the MHS ice hockey team. The Ornament concert will begin at 4:00pm, with doors opening at 3:30pm. Tickets are $15 per person in advance and at the door. Advance tickets can be purchased by calling Joe at either (508) 922-7230 or (508) 339-7650. For more info or ticket sales, please visit the Ornament website at www.ornamentband.com. |
