MHS Art at the Station Opening
On Tuesday, April 27 the MHS Visual Arts Department inaugurated MHS Art at the Station, a new, rotating, student art exhibit at the Mansfield Train Station. The first installation, "PhoTEENS," is a retrospective of the first two years of the digital photography program.
The opening on Tuesday morning was attended by Mr. Scott Brigante, his AP art students, Ms. Mary Watkins, and administrators from GATRA who run the station. Commuters offered very positive feedback and asked many questions. They complimented the high quality of the work and expressed their enthusiasm for future exhibits.
The purpose of MHS Art at the Station is to engage commuters, inform the community about the great work MHS students are doing, and to provide students the opportunity to display their art in public.
"PhoTEENS" will remain in place through May 15th; the next installation will likely be a series of student paintings. Be sure to stop by and check out the amazing student art for yourself!
