SR HIGH SALT Retreat
Friday, Sept 7 @ 7pm thru Sunday, Sept 9 @ 1pm
$20
What does SALT mean?
It stands for Student Action Leadership Team.
IS THE SALT THE SAME AS IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN?
Yes and no. Both.
The best of what it was. It has now grown into the next season of its existence.
NOTE FROM JARED:
Oh my goodness I love this stuff. Jesus has never been more real to me than He is today. I am excited to gather with a group of like-minded people. I am excited to be united as this SALT family.
It is no secret; this is the Body of Christ. Everyone everywhere is invited to join the family of God. The reason to make it a "team" is to teach you how to lead. I am so pumped to be able to pour my life, and the lives of the youth staff, and the lives of the members of our church, into your life.
That is what you are signing up for.
Applications are available at Youth Group.

Community Service Opportunity:
OB Town Council Pier Pancake Breakfast
Saturday, September 15
It's almost that time again :)
This year the Town Council has moved up the event and changed the day and the date. Now, they are going to have it on Saturday, September 15 from 7:30 - noon. By moving it to a Saturday (for the first time) and also to Sept, they are hoping to have better weather and a larger turnout, since they won't be competing with Church services and NFL games :)
They would like 12 (or more) SDFC teen, youth staff, parents, family, friends as volunteers to help with the annual pier breakfast.
They can also get community service hours for this as well.
3 groups of 4 teens (or youth staff, small group, family, etc) to work 2 hour shifts from 8 am - 2 pm.
They will be helping to clear tables and clean up. Shift 1: 8 am - 10 am
1. Cole McLaren
2. Jacqueline McLaren

Shift 2: 10 am - 12 pm

Compassion Students Sponsorship Opportunity
Naomi (from Tanzania), Pavej (from India), Wilder (from Guatemala).
As a youth group, we sponsor 3 students from around the world to help clothe, feed, nourish, & provide support for their education. We have committed to raise $38 per student per month (that's $1,368 per year!) During worship each week at Youth Group, we pass around an offering bucket to collect money to support these students and we often run short. Please help give to continue providing support for these students.
I would like to help and make a donation for Compassion Students $
SDFC Students Scholarship Opportunity
We try our best to keep our Youth Group activities and events free or at a low cost; but sometimes it is difficult for a family to afford sending their teen(s). If you would like to give money for a teen to attend any one of these teen events or to go towards our Youth Camp scholarships, we'd love for our own Youth Group families to have the opportunity to participate in raising support, as well.
I would like to help and make a donation for SDFC Teen Scholarships
$
Snack Shack Fund
We have a Youth Room Snack Shack were we sell Candy & Soda for $1 each. Half of the proceeds go into helping our 3 Compassion Students and the other half of the proceeds go into teen scholarships.
I would like to donate to the Snack Shack fund $
