  TEDNA Student Digital Intern

 

 

Company: Tribal Education Departments National Assembly (TEDNA)

Location:   At home or local TED (tribal education department) office

 

Job Type:  Variable Part-Time (8 to 20 hours per week) up to eight weeks.  Students will be give tasks each week to complete.

 

Salary:  None unless arranged by a local TED

 

Education:  Current Undergraduate and Graduate Students with computer and web access

 

Career Level:   Student (Undergraduate or Graduate) who might be interested in data collection and Indian education

 

Benefits:  Students will gather information on TEDs (tribal education departments) through research, email and telephone calls.

 

At the end of the summer internship, TEDNA will provide a Letter of Recommendation/Reference for future endeavors of the intern.

 

Responsibilities Include:

 

The Internships are designed to combine computer literacy skills with data collection skills.

Students are provided a 2-year internship that develops competencies and skills essential to their career field.  Students will use Google Apps to collect and record information.

 

Minimum Requirements Include:

 

Be a Native American Student, at least 18 years old, Be currently enrolled full-time, in a 4-year accredited college or university in a Bachelors or Masters degree program Must be computer literate, MS Office, web communications skills and Google Apps,  GPA of at least 2.5

Must be recommended by an instructor or TED director/staff.

Leadership Program

The Native American Political Leadership Program offers full scholarships to Native American, Alaska Native, and Native Hawaiian undergraduate and graduate students to study applied American politics as part of the Semester in Washington Politics program at GW. Funded by a generous grant from the AT&T Foundation, the scholarship includes tuition, on-campus housing, travel to and from Washington, DC, and a stipend for books and living expenses.

 

Acquire fresh perspectives, knowledge, and skills in the intersection between the American political process and your own personal goals and community interests.
