| A LETTER FROM THE
CEO & Founder

October brings a change to the season, and this month the topic is Harvesting Your Business. What are some activities that you do to harvest and grow your business? For Femfessionals, it's our community outreach and constant methods of connecting more and more women. What about you?
This month, not only do we focus on our business but also the activities and awareness surrounding Breast Cancer and its impact on the women in our communities. Please take part in the "Pink" October events such as the Komen Race for the Cure and Strut Your Stuff {a local Miami event}. Be sure to send us the photos of your activities so we can post them in your local FEM Around Town Album! Pink Rocks and so do you!
We are thrilled to introduce you to our FemCity Houston President, Michelle Stephenson, a survivor and an advocate on raising awareness and funds for Breast Cancer. We are excited to have Michelle on our growing team. In addition, please join us in welcoming our FemCity San Francisco President Kate Blake and FemCity NYC President Stephanie Matteras. We are honored to have 3 new fabulous Presidents to add to our team! Please visit our website to learn more about them. We are also looking to launch FemCity Providence, FemCity Las Vegas and FemCity Chicago very soon. {yes, FEMS, we are on a roll!}
Please take time this month to promote the business women in your community. I personally try to spend every dollar {that needs to be spent} on purchases at women-owned businesses. It makes a direct impact on our local communities.
As always, we look forward to seeing you at our next Femfessionals Connection Lunch. May your month be filled with much prosperity and joy.
Femfessionally yours,
Violette Sproul | Founder & CEO

The Harvest of Business :: brought to you by our featured October Fabulous Femfessional Members
"I juggle working, being a Mom of 3, and being a wife so I know the importance of good time management! But I also know an integral role in success is networking and meeting other people. Femfessionals is a great way to grow your business - and yourself - so I am very happy to be a part of this elite group."
Kellie Gaglioti | Joseph Anthony Retreat Salon & Spa | FemCity Philadelphia
"Through Femfessionals I am able to connect with like-minded professional women. We are goal oriented, task driven, result producing, multi-tasking machines! The women I am connecting with at FemCity events are also inspired by the opportunity to help others along their road to success - who wouldn't want to be a part of that? By attending events I am able to network with women who are helping me to grow interest and awareness about Simplicity."
Anne Steppe | Simplicity Organizers | FemCity Ft. Charlotte
"Through Femfessionals I am able to build strong long term relationships with like-minded Femfessionistas, who share my values around ethics, compassion, dependability....and nice shoes."
Trine Anderson | Ameriprise Financials | FemCity Boca Raton
"In my business as a medical billing advocate, I pride myself in finding innovative solutions to difficult problems faced by consumers and businesses challenged by the high cost of healthcare. "When choosing a realtor, it really comes down to working with a hardworking and likeable professional. Being that Femfessionals brands itself in such way--catering to hardworking and likeable women--, it makes harvesting my real estate company, Beckett.DeBianchi, within the organization that much easier."

PLEASE JOIN US in welcoming our new FemCity Presidents I have participated in many professional women's organizations and what made Femfessionals stand apart from the others was the focus on building strong, lasting relationships, not just exchanging business cards or promoting products and services. I was also very impressed by the warm, friendly and positive attitudes of the Femfessionals founders and corporate team. They had me at "hello." Michelle Stephenson | President | FemCity Houston
"Femfessionals provides an opportunity for women from diverse backgrounds to converge and ultimately create synergies that will have a profound impact on the NYC community and larger marketplace."
Stephanie Mattera | President | FemCity NYC
"The Femfessional platform is gaining traction nationwide. Women are joining FemCity communities online, gathering for local events and finding creative ways to educate and empower their fellow women. This is exciting stuff and I am thrilled to lead this effort in San Francisco."

Women-Led Startups Are The Key to New Job Creation ::

The country is in a recession, and Washington is tangling over how to create new jobs, but, according to a new paper from the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, there's a fairly simple potential source of them sitting right under our noses.
