Confirmation

It is not a point of arrival ... it is not a rite of passage ... it is not a graduation ... it is not an end to something but in fact the very beginning. Confirmation means to "make firm" what you believe. When one joins the church of Jesus Christ, you embark on a journey that will last a lifetime! These confirmands have been instructed in the Christian faith ... but not completely. In many respects, the day of one's confirmation is a day of commencement. It means commencing to walk intentionally in the Way of The Lord ... to follow the Shepherd ... to proclaim Jesus as one's Lord and Savior ... to not be ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ but to live the Gospel in such a way that others will know you are a disciple of Jesus Christ. As these seven young people take their vows of faith and church membership, we, their community faith, will also renew our vows of faith and membership in the Church of Jesus Christ and Trinity United Methodist Church. It takes a church community to raise a child of God. Church! Let us continue to raise the children! If we don't, who will?

Appreciation to Andrew Springman and Wendy Robinson, and all the mentors who helped to lead these students in the last 15 weeks.

Your Servant,

John D.

NEW SECURITY SYSTEM

To better secure the campus we have installed a new security system to safeguard the facility. If you or your group uses the facility during the hours the church office is closed please stop by the church office to request a code to the system. Please be aware if you do not have a code you will set off the alarm even if you have a key to the facility. Thank you in advance.

If your child is a graduating senior this year we would like to recognize them on Senior Sunday. Please send name, school attended, future plans and a photo to smcclinsey@trinitypbg.org

Trinity Shopping Bags, Travel Mugs & License Plates
