President's Corner We are getting ready to produce the 2011 Chamber Community
Business Directory. We are very excited to present you with a great reference
and referral book this year. Please use the books as you get ready to do
business in 2011. Members doing business with other members is a great way to
make certain that our business community stays strong and is chamber work at its
best. As we come upon the last quarter of 2010, we have a number
of opportunities we hope you will take advantage of: October 30th and 31st
we will be out at Traders
Village taking Pumpkin
Patch photos. We had a great time last year. The photos are a bargain at $5.00 each and will give you memories to
treasure as the years pass. Come and
bring your little ones out and get a photo taken. It's great fun! The Chamber Board Retreat and
Planning Session is scheduled for November 5th. If you have ideas that can help us be a
better business resource for the community we want to hear about them so we can
put them into next years plan of work. On November 10th at the
chamber office, Carmen and Greg are planning a session to teach you how to make
the most of the Chamber Database and website. This is a benefit of your chamber membership and you will want it to
work hard for you. Call 972-264-1558 and
talk to us if you are interested in attending. There will be more on this in upcoming Newsletters. November 27th and 28th,
December 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, and 19 (every weekend between Thanksgiving and
Christmas) we will be at Traders
Village taking photos
with Santa. This is a great chance to get the family together to take a photo
with Santa. Again, the price is low at $5.00, so come out and have as many
poses as you like. It's a bargain. The Chamber Christmas Open House
Sponsored by Pat Watson-Capps and Prudential Lone Star Realtors will be at the Historic Anderson Building
this year. Juan Dellepiane, our host, has graciously opened his facility to us. We'll have
great food, fellowship and I'm sure we will be visited by the GPISD show choirs
from both schools. You won't want to miss it! It's all about making our business community the best it can
be...At the Grand Prairie Chamber We Mean Business! Lynn
