Chairman's Spotlight

What an event the 2nd Annual Taste of Grand Prairie and Community Spotlight was! QuikTrip Park was absolutely buzzing with GREAT food, people and activities. I hope you had a chance to come out to the event. As always, my thanks go out to all the volunteers, vendors and sponsors who made the event such a success. Also, special thanks must be given to our wonderful Chamber Staff for all the work they put into the event.

In the next few months, please keep your eyes out for the 2011 Chamber Directory. I personally use this Directory year round for contacting other Chamber members as well as trying to stay up to date with who's who in our Chamber. It is a wonderful reference guide and I encourage you to use other Chamber members' services, if the need arises.

This year the Board of Directors made a decision to downsize the Chamber Board and to limit terms to 2 years.  Due to the downsizing and term limitations we will not present a slate of 3 year term Directors this year.

We would like to introduce your 2011 Officers:

Dave Burke - Chairman

Clayton Fisher - Past Chairman

Milt Highfill - Chair Elect

Bill Moser - Treasurer

Robin Harris -Community Development

Allan Hughes - Chamber Development

James Cain -Business Development

Lila Thorn -  Chamber / City Partnership

Doug Jackson - Marketing & Communication

We are very excited with this new slate of officers as we plan for 2011.

Lastly, as I have mentioned all year, let us know how we can help. This is YOUR Chamber and the Staff is ready to assist you and your business in taking the next step. Just ask!

And as always, keep up to date with what's going on in the Chamber and Community by visiting our website www.grandprairiechamber.org or call the chamber at 972-264-1558.
