David J. Tesmer speaks at Chamber Luncheon about the Health Care Reform and how it affects businesses
David J. Tesmer was our keynote speaker at the September 15th Chamber Luncheon. The luncheon was sponsored by Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital. Mr. Tesmer provided an overview of how the Health Care Reform will affect businesses and the impact it will make. He provided a time line on how the Health Care Reform is being implemented. He also provided several websites that are helpful resources, these can be found on our home page of our website at www.grandprairiechamber.org. Following the presentation he answered questions from the audience.
David J. Tesmer is the senior vice president of Advocacy and Community Benefit for Texas Health Resources. As one of the largest non-profit, faith-based, health care delivery systems in Texas, Tesmer is responsible for public policy and advocacy, community health improvement, community affairs as well as faith and spirituality integration.
Tesmer earned both his undergraduate degree in Political Science and his Master of Public Administration from Texas Tech University. He currently serves as Chair of the North Texas Literacy Coalition Public Awareness Task Force, the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council's Community Health Improvement Collaborative and the Texas Hospital Association's Political Action Committee. In addition, he serves as a board member of the Arlington Chamber Foundation and the North Texas Commission.
With a consistent focus on "evidence-based advocacy," Tesmer provides strategic direction on public policy and community benefit at the local, state and national levels.
A native of Richardson, Texas, David and his family have resided in Grand Prairie since 1986.
