About Medical Center of Arlington
Medical Center of Arlington (MCA) is a 332-bed, acute care hospital located in South Arlington at the corner of Matlock Road and Mayfield Road, just north of US Interstate 20.  MCA has been serving Arlington and its surrounding communities for over 30 years.  The hospital has expanded its services in recent years and boasts the most comprehensive women's services program in the area called The Birthing Center.  MCA's state-of-the-art women's tower is where over 4,000 deliveries take place each year.  The Birthing Center also includes a 10-bed antepartum unit and a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit where special care and attention is given to moms undergoing high-risk pregnancy.

MCA is the hometown hospital for the Texas Rangers and offers everyone-from the American League All-Stars to the Arlington Little League All-Stars-excellent clinical care through its Sports Medicine Program and Emergency Department.  Medical Center of Arlington is the only designated trauma hospital in Arlington and over 68,000 people choose MCA for their emergency needs each year.

Medical Center of Arlington recently opened a 6-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit that adjoins its newly established Heart and Vascular center, a dedicated, all-private room, 30-bed unit.  MCA's heart and vascular specialists use the latest cutting-edge technology to diagnose and treat the most complex diseases of the heart and vascular systems.

Medical Center of Arlington is accredited by the Joint Commission.  MCA is Arlington's first certified Chest Pain Center, first JCAHO-designated Primary Stroke Center and recently received the Gold Seal of Approval for health care quality in Wound Care.  Committed to providing the best possible care for each patient, MCA is staffed by 1,200 dedicated nurses, technicians, advocates, and volunteers and more than 500 physicians who deliver patient-centered care each and every day. Representing more than 40 areas of specialized care, MCA provides award-winning care and critically acclaimed services for members of the Arlington community.

MCA believes that the community plays an important role in the health and wellness of its residents.  Therefore, the hospital supports and involves organizations in activities, programs, and events geared at health and wellness promotion. A proud community partner, Medical Center of Arlington is the place for quality care close to home.
