Medical Center of Arlington is a 326-bed acute care, full service hospital that has served Tarrant County for over 30 years.  MCA is fully accredited by The Joint Commission, Tarrant County's first and Certified Chest Pain Center, as well as Tarrant County's first accredited Primary Stroke Center Program, and the American College of Surgeons newest certified Cancer Program.  As measured by Medicare's core measures, which ranks hospitals clinically for acute myocardial infarction (heart attack), heart failure, pneumonia, and surgical complications, MCA ranks among the top 10% of all hospitals nationwide.  As MCA has grown its services and transformed from a rural community hospital in 1976 to a major healthcare player in the heart of the D/FW metroplex, the hospital has also continued to focus on providing high quality medical services with special attention to patient service.

MCA is anchored by several exemplorary programs that provide outstanding benefit to Arlington and its surrounding communities.  4,000 babies are delivered each year at the Women's Center, a dedicated building that also houses a fetal diagnostic center, and a level III neonatal intensive care unit.  Emergency Services are second to none in an ED that sees nearly 70,000 patients each year with some of the fastest turn-around times in the country.  As the official hospital and rehabilitation provider for the Texas Rangers, MCA is a regional leader in sports medicine for pro athletes as well as little-leaguers.  In January of 2009, MCA opened its newly remodeled Heart and Vascular center, which includes 30 private suites staffed by a team of clinicians who are experts and who are passionate about heart and vascular care.

Medical Center of Arlington has over 500 board certified or board eligible physicians representing more than 40 different specialties on staff.  We are committed to providing exemplary care for our patients and community.

Branding Irons Breakfast

Mountain Creek Retirement Living was the location of January 28, 2010 Branding Irons Breakfast.  Mindi Willis, the Executive Director of Mountain Creek Retirement Living and her staff welcomed Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce Branding Irons to their property. They served a wonderful, hot breakfast and gave an overview of the resident amenities and services they provide. Mountain Creek Retirement also has a meeting room which is available for public use, it has wireless internet available as well as catering services. The Branding Irons discussed the upcoming events and networked.

The Branding Irons is a committee of dedicated chamber members responsible for acting as the welcoming arm of the Chamber and serves as Ambassadors to make all feel welcome. They serve as official greeters at Luncheons and Business After Hour mixers. They preside over all ribbon cuttings that are specifically scheduled to welcome new members to the Chamber.

Kudos to Mark Dean at Guerrero Dean Funeral Home who is the current District Governor of District 2X1 Lions Club for bringing over 200 Lions from all over the Metroplex to the Uptown Theater in Grand Prairie.  What a great way to show off our City and this wonderful venue.  It was Chamber work at it's best using Eddlemon's as the caterer. Johnny and his crew did a wonderful job. What a great example of how we can work together to bring new attention to the attractions and businesses in our community.  Thanks Mark!
