State of the City Dinner - February 4, 2010
Ruthe Jackson Center
Join city, business and residential leaders at the annual State of the City Address given by Mayor Charles England at the Ruthe Jackson Center, Thursday, Feb. 4, 2010. The evening begins with registration at 6 p.m., dinner at 7 p.m. and the address at 8 p.m. There will also be a community silent auction which will begin at 6 p.m. Individual reservations are $40 per person and my be made by calling the Chamber at 972-264-1558 or by email to Sara@GrandPrairieChamber.org

This committee of dedicated chamber members is responsible for being the welcoming committee for the Chamber and serves as ambassadors to make all feel welcome. They serve as official greeters at Luncheons and Business After Hour mixers. They preside over all ribbon cuttings that are specifically scheduled to welcome
new members to the Chamber.

On Sunday, January 17, 2010 the Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce welcomed one of its members New Beginnings Christian Fellowship to their new location at 2951 South Beltline Road (Homestead Funeral Home) with a ribbon cutting. Pastor Perry Crenshaw was presented with a membership plaque by Prudence Mathis a community volunteer and 2010 chairperson of the Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce's Branding Irons.
New Beginnings Christian Fellowship vision: "To help all people-regardless of their age, race, or past-to experience the unconditional love of Christ and the transformational work of the Holy Spirit."

The Grand Prairie Chamber of Commerce welcomed new members and installed the 2010 Board of Directors at the January 20th Monthly Luncheon. Each new member present at the luncheon was introduced by a representative of the Branding Irons and presented with their membership plaque. Each new member posed for a photograph with 2010 Chairman, Clayton Fisher, and Branding Iron Chairperson , Prudence Mathis, and the Branding Iron representative who introduced them:
Joan Cullum-Davis with Big Bob's Flooring was introduced by Deborah Hepworth, Beauty Consultant-Independent Senior Sales Director for Mary Kay Cosmetics.
Abu Berry with Zurvita was introduced by Deidra Smith with Sam's Club.
Mary Fae Kamm with the International Museum of Cultures was introduced by Richard Whitman with Texas Trust Credit Union.
Grant Farrimond with Baylor Medical Center at Irving was introduced by George Jones with Sam's Club.
