Congratulations to our
 2009 Community Awards Recipients

President's Corner

It's 2010 and we are off to a running start here in Grand Prairie. Thanks to all of you who came out and honored our Community Award Recipients last night.  We had a great time.

I want to pay special tribute to some of our charter members this month as we begin our 65th Anniversary year. Last night we honored 2 great companies.  Oncor, Electric Delivery has been a chamber member since our inception in May of 1945. They, along with the company we now know as ATMOS Energy and what is now AT&T, were the first and most longstanding of the Chamber supporters. We will be honoring ATMOS and AT&T at the State of the City Dinner on February 4.  Please attend to help us thank these fine companies for their dedication to our City.

Last night, it was also our great honor to meet John and Judy Toler of Grand Prairie Ace Hardware whose business has become a mainstay in our community for the last 60 years. They joined the chamber in their first year and have been faithful members and supporters since that time.

We have a GRAND year to look forward to and many more celebrations of the chambers milestones. Please join us and help us celebrate the chamber you have made successful for 65 years.

Lynn McGingley,
President- Grand Priarie Chamber
