Here is the July Buzz... |
New Menus at Nage Rehoboth!
Check them out today.
Nage Rehoboth has brand new Lunch and Dinner Menus that have been updated for the summer! This time of the year our menus rely heavily on Local Produce that we get Straight From the Farms.
On the Lunch Menu we are featuring a Cashew Chicken Salad on a toasted Croissant. Chef Ted is making this with Coconut Milk that has been thickened with toasted and ground Cashews in place of the traditional Mayonnaise that you would normally find in a salad like this. Not only is it delicious, but it is much better for you!
On the Dinner Menu we have a bright shining star in the new Rockfish "Chowder" . This is entree sized dish is like no chowder that you have ever had. Chef Hari begins with a Seared 6 oz Rockfish Filet. This is served over the "Chowder" which is an aromatic melange of Littleneck Clams, Potatoes, Summer Corn, Smoked Sausage, Celery, Onions, Peppers, Wine and Seafood Broth all topped with Garlic Chips! Try to find THAT in a can!

Farm-to-Table Dinners are back!
Every Thursday
Nage Rehoboth
What is Farm-to-Table? Farm-to-Table is a partnership between Nage Rehoboth, Fifer Orchards and all of the Local, Sustainable and Organic Farmers that supply us with the beautiful food that we use every summer. Basically, we bring the farm to you on Thursday nights! Each Thursday we will feature a different farm and their food. The farmer will be in the restaurant to discuss their farming methods and why their type of farming is important to you. Our chefs then take the food from their farm and use it in the preparation of our daily specials. The food that you eat that night could very well have been in the fields that morning! You can not get any fresher than that. July Schedule:July 1 - Swallow Acres Farms Lettuces, Herbs, Vegetables, Heritage Pork
July 8 - Lucky Penny Farms
Edible Flowers, Vegetables
July 15 - Sunshine Sprouts
Seed Sprouts, Vegetable Sprouts
July 22 - Fifer Orchards (Our Co-Sponsor)
Vegetables, Fruit, Honey
July 29 - Small Wonder Hydroponics
Tomato, Cucumber, Arugula, Lettuces
You may have traveled farther than the food!

Benefit for Gulf Coast Relief
Food that Helps Others!
From now until January 2011, Gulf Coast native and executive chef at Nage Bistro in Washington, DC, Glenn Babcock will offer a special red fish sandwich for $10, with all profits benefitting Gulf Coast relief, specifically to support fishermen, shrimpers and oystermen whose livelihoods are threatened by the oil spill.
The Gulf Coast Red Fish Sandwich is prepared in traditional Gulf Coast fashion and features a filet of buttery, mild red fish which is blackened and topped with lemon caper aioli. It is served on a house made ciabatta roll with lettuce and tomato and comes with a side of green cabbage slaw.
Chef Babcock was born and raised on the Gulf Coast and grew up around the fishermen whom are suffering from the oil spill. "People's livelihood depends upon the Gulf Coast seafood market," said Babcock. "There is a stigma around the purchase of Gulf Coast seafood right now and we want to show that the product is still quality as well as raise funds to support our industry in the Gulf Coast during their time of need."

Delicious Spring Cocktails!
At Nage Washington, DC!
Cocktails are a refreshing way for diners to beat the spring heat, and Nage Washington, DC has tapped into some of the most creative minds in its kitchen and behind the bar to ensure that guests won't encounter any of the typical, uninspiring spring drinks like basic mojitos and margaritas at their restaurant. Chef Glenn Babcock has been working with Bar Manager Matt Wilcox to create fresh, inimitable liquid concoctions such as the Rhubarb-Arita with rhubarb sour mix, spice, tequila and Triple Sec, the Plymouth Rox with gin, cilantro, and other fresh seasonal herbs and ingredients, and the Lychee Debauchee with rum, lychee, basil and lime.
