FAMILY LAW SEMINAR 2010 - WVCLE, jointly sponsored by the WVU College of Law and The West Virginia State Bar, and in cooperation with the WV State Bar's Family Law Committee is pleased to announce its annual FAMILY LAW SEMINAR which will be held at the WVU College of Law in Morgantown, WV, on September 3 & 4, 2010.  This course will be taught by prominent members of the bench and bar including:  The Honorable Mike Kelly, Professor John Fisher, Dr. Robert Rufus, Bruce Stout, James W. Douglas, Jo Lynne Nugent, Andrew S. Nason, Lyne Ranson, Professor Marjorie McDiarmid, and Mark W. REAL ESTATE PROBLEMS & SOLUTIONS - WVCLE, jointly sponsored by the WVU College of Law and The West Virginia State Bar, and in cooperation with the Old Republic Title Insurance is pleased to announce its REAL ESTATE PROBLEMS & SOLUTIONS seminar which will be held in Huntington, WV, on September 10, 2010.  This course will be taught by experts and prominent members of the bar including:  Christopher J. DISCOVERY TOOLS AND STRATEGIES SEMINAR -  WVCLE, jointly sponsored by the WVU College of Law and The West Virginia State Bar, is pleased to announce its new DISCOVERY TOOLS AND STRATEGIES SEMINAR which will be held at the WVU College of Law in Morgantown, WV, on September 17 & 18, 2010. This course will feature the latest developments in discovery and feature workshops examining discovery techniques for both the plaintiff and defense bar in deliberate intent, medical malpractice, and bad faith cases.  The WVU v. STATE BAR REGIONAL MEETINGS - The State Bar will begin its annual set of Regional Meetings on October 5, 2010. Ten meetings will be held at various locations throughout the State. The meetings will begin at 10:30 am, include a lunch, and should end by 1:30 pm. The meetings will provide a total of 3.0 MCLE credit hours in legal ethics, office management, substance abuse and/or elimination of bias. The cost is $100 per person. WEST VIRGINIA TAX INSTITUTE - The 61st annual meeting of the West Virginia Tax Institute will be held from October 17-19, 2010 at the Waterfront Place Hotel, Morgantown, West Virginia. LAWYERS IN OUR SCHOOLS - To assist educators in locating attorneys who are willing to go into classrooms and/or work with after school and/or summer educational programs, The West Virginia State Bar is re-establishing its School Mentor Program.  Attorneys who are willing to assist educators will appear on a separate database. When someone uses the "School Mentor Search" tab found under the Public Information heading, they may select participant in the areas of elementary, middle and/or high school and the county(s) in which they need assistance. If you are interested in participating in the Program, please sign into the members section, click "update profile" and go to the bottom of the page and make your selections:
