COLLEGE SUMMIT SEEKING VOLUNTEERS - College Summit West Virginia, a non-profit organization that encourages and assists high school students with the college application process, is seeking volunteers to serve as writing coaches for its summer workshops. Lawyers are a perfect fit given the amount of written work in our profession and that the College Summit process uses the Socratic method to help students write the "personal statement" portion of their college application. College Summit is open to all students, but focuses on academically mid-tier students from lower socioeconomic backgrounds in an effort to assure that "Every student who can make it in college, makes it to college."
