New LRNow Bike Tour

Saturday, May 19th, 10 AM-2 PM

Dust off your bicycle, pump up your tires and get ready for our next LRNow A Ride to the River Bicycle Tour on Saturday, May 19th.  We will leave from the new First Landing Visitors Center, use the great new bike lane on Shore Drive and return to the Visitor's Center on the bike trail through First Landing State Park from the 64th Street entrance.  There will be many opportunities to enjoy the flora and fauna of our watershed and views of the river.

A box lunch and drinks will be provided and we will have a short talk on oyster restoration in the Lynnhaven during our lunch break.  The total length of the trip will be approximately 14 miles and our pace will be casual for all levels of riders, including families.  Cost of the tour is $15 and covers your lunch and drinks.  There is an additional $5 per car charge to enter the park.  Ride your bike into the park and there is no fee.

To register for the bike tour, please contact our office, kris@lynnhaven2007.com or 757-962-5398.  Helmets are required.

This event is co-sponsored by the Tidewater Bicycle Association.
