Public Meeting, Thursday, Dec 3, 7-9 PM at the New Renaissance Academy
 
Tour the New Renaissance Academy and Be the First to Hear our
2009 State of the River Report 
 
Be one of the first to hear results of the Lynnhaven River 2009 State of the River Report and tour the new innovative Renaissance Academy building, 233 N. Witchduck Road.  Our December Public Meeting will be held in the Schola of the newest public school on Witchduck Road.  Park in the lot on Cleveland Street and use the front entrance. 

This building will surprise you with all of the innovations that make it the most sustainable school in our region---green roof, cistern, gray water system, solar panels.  Get the first look at the 2009 State of the River Report and a pre-opening tour of this amazing new building.  Pre-registration is not required; all are welcome.

Our beautiful 2010 Lynnhaven River Calendars are available now for your holiday gifts.  All of the photos were taken in the LynnhavenRiver watershed and include our 2009 contest winners.  They are an ideal gift for neighbors, co-workers, teachers and out of town relatives.  Individual calendars are $12 each or $10 each if you buy 10 or more.  Contact our office to place an order, 757-962-5398 or lbaity@lynnhaven2007.com, or stop by our office at 1608 Pleasure House Road, Suite 108.

Please think about Lynnhaven River NOW when you are planning your holiday gifts.  A gift membership is a really nice way to show someone your commitment to restoring and protecting our environment in Virginia Beach.  Gift memberships can be arranged by calling our office at 757-962-5398.  The recipient will receive a letter acknowledging your gift, information about LRNow and our quarterly newsletters throughout the next year. 
 
In addition to our beautiful calendars, we have other items that may make the perfect holiday gift:  rain barrels, LRNow hats, tee shirts, golf shirts and fleece vests.  Think about using our reusable shopping bags to wrap your gifts---no trash. 
 
Our newest items are our rain jackets for men and women.  They come in yellow and navy blue and need to be ordered in advance.  We will have samples at our Public Meeting Thursday evening and will be taking orders through Friday, December 4th for delivery before Christmas.
