The Jay Shapiro Arts Legacy Foundation is a non-profit project. Their mission is to remove barriers to those in the visual arts community in endeavors to explore and achieve their creative potential. The Foundation's namesake, Jay Shapiro, was widely known in the arts community as an advocate for the local arts. Jay, as part business owner of Binders Art Supplies and Frames in Atlanta, was always known to lend a helping hand in whatever capacity possible to the local arts community. Due to Jay's untimely passing, the foundation has been established to continue the work that Jay started and to carry forward a legacy that can help build a better arts community for tomorrow.
