You're Invited to Join the FUN!
So You Ask
1.)Do I need to take sequential classes? No. Chose only those topics you find of interest.
2.)Do "We" actually make things in our class? It depends on the topic. Most of the time I demonstrate the procedure so we can offer more instruction.
3.)Do we actually get to try the dishes that are demonstrated? Absolutely! we offer small portions of usually five to ten items depending on the topic. NO ONE goes home hungry!

Small classes of eight..as we prepare a fabulous menu while providing step by step direction for each dish. The relaxed style of our cooking school allows for some hands on preparation and lots of interaction. You WILL leave each class confident and totally prepared to make the same dishes at home. Recipe packages are provided for students to take home.. Classes may include an appetizer, soup or salad depending on  the subject. All classes include several entrees and dessert, so bring your appetite. Wine and beer are available for purchase

This is our third year offerring cooking classes and our first year offerring them in the summer months. Honestly we have no idea what kind of response we are going to get because so many of you are  busy this time of year. But nothing ventured nothing gained. Our classes for summer are all new and in many ways reflect the seasons. Excited would be an understatement. It is such a treat to be able to work with fresh fruits, herbs and vegetables from the area. Creating many varieties of soups..salads..desserts and entrees  using local ingredients fresh from the garden really opens up a whole new world of exciting things to make and eat!
We spent the spring sourcing recipes and ingredients that we think will give you some great new things to cook for friends and family. So we would like to invite YOU to attend one..or more of our summer/fall cooking classes. No level of cooking skill required. Beginners..intermediate cooks and anyone who feels they would like to expand their repertoire of dishes will benefit from our classes..They make great gifts and wonderful get-togethers for social groups..professional group or other organizations. We did a retirement party cooking class/ private dinner Tuesday..20 people..6 courses..one hour of instruction..and they had a blast!

Getting the word out about our cooking classes is definitely one of the biggest challenges we face. We print brochures and pass them out...and send out messages such as this..but staying out front of people in a world bombarded with e-mail..twitter..24 hour news cycle..facebook and the like ...is tough. I don't want to add to information "over load"..but we have had a lot of calls asking about the classes and thought this would be a good way to get the information out.
We are sometimes asked to provide more information about each specific class. We would like to do that..but honestly we don't find enough time in a day with a restaurant and kitchen store to be able to do that. We ask you to trust us that these classes are pretty special and that you will not be disappointed . I think if you ask anyone who has attended they will verify that..
Still some openings for this Monday's "Spring Harvest ..Cooking with vermont Products"  Lots of great new ideas here.

Thanks for your continued support and hope to see you in a class soon..Leslie & John Marston ...Leslie's Tavern
