  Welcome to Leslie's Tavern first newsletter. You are receiving this newsletter because you have received other correspondence from us in the past. Please feel free to unsubscribe if you wish. We hope you don't because if you enjoy dining at Leslie's we'll be offering some great deals and hopefully some interesting recipes and information.
     Have you ever come up with a great message as you drive your car...then race home to put it to paper, only to forget most of it??? So then I had to drive around some more trying to think of something clever to write to you about.  As you will see I am no Anthony Bourdain! 
  The idea with the newsletter is to  keep you abreast of all that is happening at Leslie's. Over the next weeks and months we intend to come  up with some good promotions that will save you some $$$. Our newsletter will offer  restaurant quality recipes and tips. as well as changes in our menu.  I suspect a newsletter demands that we keep "changing things up"  a bit!   As always, we are looking for feedback from you, our guest, so lets make this an interactive newsletter.  Thanks, John

Halibut is such a great tasting fish, we suggest you simply bake with a mix of Dijon mustard,  Hellman's. Mayonnaise and a little fresh lemon. Bake at 400 for about 10 minutes ...don't overcook! Bon Appetit  .

                  New "Small Plates"
   Small plates is a term to describe smaller portions of entrees for those who prefer to eat both smaller and "lighter' portions of food. Leslie's has always been well known for "hardy" portions of food and we will continue to do that as well. We will however offer four small plates throughout the year featuring vinaigrette's, local produce ( our own garden for one) and of course the best fish we can find.. NO farm raised fish.... Many of you are "foodies" so we will have to work hard to create some satisfying "out of this world" flavors. We will be changing this menu frequently!  All small plates will come with a salad and generally consist of a protein, starch and a vegetable garnish.....oh and the $ tag is 18 to 21...
