Mark this event in your calendar for every Thursday  evening all summer long (I guarantee that my husband has it etched in his)!   White Pine's Touring hosts free, 2-hour bike journeys on some of the amazing 200 mile trail network of Park City.  Rental Bikes are available at a discount for this weekly event.  Rides are from 6-8 but please show up by 5:30 if you are renting equipment.  Groups are divided into ability levels so don't be intimidated!  Rides leave from their store on Bonanza.

Wine Wipes
Orange blossom-flavored wipes are designed to quickly and discreetly wipe away the unsightly dark film that red wine can leave behind:  www.winewipes.com

Whole Foods Kids Club
I may be preaching to the choir, but did you know that Whole Foods has a Kids Club?  The next time you are in, stop by customer service.  They will give your child a special membership card that can be used upon check-out for a special goody.  My friend said that her son loves to swipe his card like a credit card in the machine.  Who said you can't get something for nothing?

Free IPOD Touch
Do you have a teenager leaving for college at the end of the summer?  If so, Mac has everything college students need for school and now it includes something extra special:  when college students buy a qualifying Mac, they'll get a free iPod touch after online rebate!  We LOVE our iPod Touch even though it will make you feel old (it is a great toy for your smaller kids--our two year old loves it).  Don't forget,  about Apple's special education pricing!  This offer is for a limited time.  We absolutely think this deal is the coolest!  http://store.apple.com/us/browse/campaigns/back_to_school?Email_OID=541646&Email_PageName=P0007971-146878&cid=AOS-US-DM-P0007971-146878&cp=146878&sr=em

Occasional Sitter Needed
Is your nanny or sitter looking for fill-in work?  Or do you have some teenage kids in the neighborhood desperate for more work?  Or are you interested in occasional sitting gigs for yourself?  If so, please have them email me at leslie.bailey@earthlink.net ATTN Babysitter.

Website Up!
Jane's List now has a website:  www.parkcityjane.com.  It is very basic, but it is up and running (we may be soliciting bids from the web designers among you in the near future to help redesign and make it more user-friendly).  There have also been a lot of requests for the ability to archive old newsletters so that they can search through them for specific items--this is also on our wish list for the website.  Unfortunately, both things cost money which is why we desperately need sponsorships in order to fund this endeavor.  So, if you know of any businesses who could use the exposure to 500+ mommies in Park City, please spread the word.  As fun as it is to create Jane's List, funding it out of our own pockets is not.  Thank you for your help!

Sponsorships (i.e. Advertising on Jane's List):  All businesses wishing to advertise themselves to our readers need to purchase a sponsorship in order to be in Jane's List (this includes private schools, daycares, camps, etc).  This is for a variety of reasons:  keeps our newsletter fun by keeping it from becoming one big advertisement (which is not fair to our subscribers), that our sponsorships are clearly promoted and highly visible but also clearly marked and, most importantly, it is how we fund our newsletter and keep it free to our subscribers.  We only run one sponsorship a day at the top of each daily newsletter.  If you want to promote your business, program, class, etc and are interested in becoming a daily sponsor, please send an email to leslie@parkcityjane.com ATTN:  Sponsorship.  We really appreciate your sponsorship support!

Editorial Policy:  Jane's List items are selected by our editors based upon information you have sent us as well as 'field experience' conducted by our editors.  We want to keep the legitimacy, integrity and fun of Jane's List intact so we'll never make a dime off your meal at a restaurant nor a penny from the sale of the latest toy we told you about.   And we ask the same in return:  all submissions about a product or business to Jane's List should follow the same guideline (that you not affiliated with the business).  We want you to send us your information to include in our daily lists:  available nanny/babysitter (or need for a babysitter/nanny), a fun place/event to take your children for fun (especially if free), a great place for mom's night out, fun crafts to do with your kids, that awesome new exercise class you have taken, your garage sale, items you wish to sell, great recipe, funny video, sentimental poem, great gift ideas, important safety information, etc.  We also LOVE to receive announcements (birth, press coverage of a local mom or business, etc) and will always be happy to post them.  You can submit your requests to us at kristy@parkcityjane.com  ATTN:  Jane's List Item.  Please make sure that you give us plenty of advance notice (we require a week in advance to guarantee posting your information).

Note regarding products featured in our list:  all of the products written about in Jane's List have been 'test-driven' by our editors, subscribers or friends and family who have NO affiliation with the product editorialized.  If you have a product/book/restaurant, etc you would like our editors to consider writing about, please let us know.  We are always happy to have you send us something for one of our reporters to 'field test' for review for potential inclusion in one of our letters.

You Spoke And We Listened:  We will be coming out with special editions to serve local schools, daycares and camps based upon YOUR requests.  These issues will be only one time per year (i.e. the 'Camp' issue will come out in May, the 'Daycare' issue in August and 'Preschool' issue TBA--we could use your input on this one).  If this is something you would like to be included in, please shoot us an email labeled ATTN:  Special Edition and we will send you more details as they become available.

And, no, we would never sell our subscriber list to anyone--that would be lame.
